Be sure to check your Wellness+ account!  Under the Load2Card section and the “Rite Aid Rewards” tab, I had a $3 FREE +UP Reward offer.  All I had to do was clip the offer to add to my card, I’ve even heard rumors of others getting $5!

Please note: Some prices may vary by region, especially on the BOGO deals or deals from the ad where prices aren’t listed.

There was a $5 +up on some sunscreens & aftersun products that I didn’t see on the list. The one I got ended up at $2.79 after reward.

Howard March 30, 2013 at 11:57 am

I got started a bit late on the shaving saving game, but made it to the $25 level today. 3 Edges @ $2.79 (after 20% wellness discount), 1 Hydro shave cream @ $3.19 (after 20%), 1 Silk refill cartridge @ $13.59 (after 20%). Total $25.15. Used 4 $2 in-ad cpns on shave creams, 1 $4 in-ad cpn on blades, 1 Edge BOGO, 1 Edge $1 cpn, 1 Hydro $.75 cpn, 1 Silk $4 cpn. Paid $4.61, rec’d $10 +UP. $5.39 MM.
Couldn’t find any Hydro Silk razors, so had to use alternate plan.

What’s up with Rite Aid’s site today? Can’t even sign on!

My L2C UPs page has been out of commission for almost two weeks now. I’ve contacted them five times. Nothing.

Very pleased with my purchase today-total was even better than expected: Hillsboro sunset had plenty of Edge left (on end cap up front) AND I discovered I still had a BOGO printed coupon that isn’t available anymore (fortunately before I left for the store, which doesn’t always happen!) -got two of those & 1 hydro silk razor-had overage on the Edge of 1.21-so with that razor only cost .78 (with my 20% discount) and have $15.57 towards the $25/$10 +up-which to finish I plan to get the men’s disposable pack which will only cost me about $2 & I will get $10 in +ups back :-) Or could get another hydro silk-they had those on the side hanger by the razors-on the end.
Also they had a whole box of the free (after +ups) Scunci’s.
AND I had a $2.50 catalina coupon for Dove men’s shampoo-2/$7 this week + $1 coupon + $1 VV + $2 +ups = 2 for .50 !!

Reply

Brenda March 25, 2013 at 11:11 pm

Awesome trip! Was happy to find tons of Scunci’s at my store, too!

Anybody do the Tugaboos deal? Wanted to make sure the monthly +UP is still printing. Want to try their trainers…

Brenda March 24, 2013 at 9:00 pm

So I debated even posting this because I can’t really explain what happened, but I will just in case anyone was thinking about doing the Kotex deal. I bought 2 – 48 count boxes of the natural balance pantiliners thinking that between the BOGO50% sale and the $2/1 coupons would make for a decent deal. The cashier had some issues with my coupons scanning which I didn’t think twice about because it happens so frequently at this store.
Once I got home and looked at my receipt I noticed that the liners rang up at $1.07 each! My guess is they are clearanced products that haven’t been signed properly. I also received the $1 UpR wyb 2.
Just thought someone might be interested in checking it out at their store. Clearance varies greatly from store to store but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to ask the cashier to scan one of the boxes to see what price they ring up at. Even without coupons, it’s an amazing deal!

Reply

Brenda March 24, 2013 at 9:03 pm

Here’s the UPC codes as well
0-3600001077-0 48 count Kotex Pantiliners long Natural Balance
0-3600001013-8 same 48 count as above with a 10 liner bonus

charolyn March 24, 2013 at 11:26 pm

Appreciate it-I will look at it tomorrow also (am getting a nice list-that is one of the funnest things at Rite Aid-more keeps popping up).

Reply

charolyn March 25, 2013 at 8:44 pm

My store didn’t even carry 48 count long-so I am guessing they are getting rid of that & why they were clearance priced at yours.

Reply

Brenda March 25, 2013 at 11:18 pm

Darn! Well I guess that explains it, I didn’t find any at the other store I went to today.

Christine March 24, 2013 at 6:04 pm

I bought 2 Hydros + 2 Edge today. Handed over 1 RA coupon for Hydro, 1 RA coupon for Edge, plus my manufacturer coupons. The cashier said — oh, you need more of these and grabbed a flyer to scan an additional RA coupon for the additional Edge & Hydro’s. Score — and extra $6 off! I don’t think this was legit, but the register took em. Btw — I used the nla Edge BoGo coupon, register wouldn’t accept the $1 MC in addition. Still a great deal.

Reply

Brenda March 24, 2013 at 7:08 pm

Yes, it will totally depend on your cashier regarding the in-ad coupons. The coupons show a limit of 1, but many stores and cashiers have no problem using more than 1. I always ask. Also, during previous Edge Shave Gel sales other people had issues using the BOGO and cents off coupon.

Reply

charolyn March 24, 2013 at 7:57 pm

My stores have always taken more-up to 4 of like ones like they do with the manufacturers coupons.

Here is a deal to “dye” for: Excellence by L’Oreal is $8.99. Spend $25 on L’Oreal Paris products, get $10 UP. (I did this a couple months ago and paid $.76 for four, which = what I did today.) You don’t have to do these all in 1 transaction, but it expires 3-30. Limit 4 UPs. Without Wellness discount, buy 3 @ $8.99, use $5/2 and $2/1 cpns from 2-17 RP AND three $2 in-ad cpns from today’s ad. With Wellness discount, buy 4 (mine were $7.19 after 20%), use two $5/2 cpns and four $2/1 in-ad cpns (if store/cashier allows). I paid $10.76 (had to go to 2 stores to find matching colors) and got $10 UP. This is only good this week: HAIR TODAY, GONE TOMORROW. (sorta)

Reply

jodi March 26, 2013 at 9:44 pm

Love this deal. Thanks for mentioning, Howard. I had $3.99 already towards Loreal (shampoo purchase earlier, I am not sure) so only had to buy 3. My store accepts multiple in-ad coupons, so after coupons and reward, I got 3 hair colors for $.57!

Yummy deal on the Easter Mars Minis!
I bought 2 packages (10.5 oz.), used the $1/2 coupon and paid $4.98.
I expected to receive 2 $1 UpR’s but 4 $1 UpR’s printed!
Makes it .98 for 2 bags!
The ad shows a limit of 4 UpR’s per cardholder so I didn’t attempt to try the deal again, not sure if they are all weekly UpR’s or if there’s a monthly one.

Reply

Jaz March 24, 2013 at 9:35 pm

Nice, that would be worth trying, I am in need of Easter candy and have a tight budget this year. In case it matters if you don’t mind me asking what flavors of candy did you get specifically?

Addition to the Tresemme/Dove deal listed above: there is a $3/2 cpn on Tresemme in today’s Oregonian. It’s good on 4 different kinds of the 25-oz bottles, which I was able to find. Bought 2, paid $4, got $2 UP.

charolyn March 24, 2013 at 7:53 pm

Thanks that is good! Adding to my list for tomorrow :-)

If you did the VV Howard they would have been $1/2 !!
I must say I like the new VV look-it is much easier to find what you are looking for with the big bold font :-)

Reply

Howard March 24, 2013 at 8:16 pm

Thanks. So far I’ve avoided the VVs like the plague. No patience to sit through videos. I’m busy enough watching hoops day and night. My school made the Sweet 16 (and it’s not Oregon).

Here is a tip: I don’t actually listen to them-play them-you can watch your games at the same time-you just have to be alert enough to put in the code at the end & you have about 15 sec to do that-but if you miss it-can watch it again.
You do have to stay on the same screen on your computer though or it doesn’t play.

Howard March 24, 2013 at 4:25 pm

Before someone else posts/complains about this: some of the cpns I used today either didn’t show or printed 2X on my receipt, but I checked my total and it was fine. (L’Oreal haircolor, Snickers BOGO were the culprits)

Reply

Brenda March 24, 2013 at 4:52 pm

Yeah, both my sister and I have been noticing for a couple weeks now that several coupons either print twice on our receipt or not at all, but when you figure out the math it comes out correctly. The razors and Edge were the ones wrong today. Weird.

charolyn March 24, 2013 at 7:51 pm

I had an odd issue a week or two ago-bought the centrum that were $10 each-only one showed up on my receipt-but the total (after my coupons) was correct and my +up printed out which required purchasing two!

Reply

charolyn March 25, 2013 at 8:46 pm

Yes I had several coupons that didn’t show up, but the total price was correct=wierd!

I was going to ignore the Edge/Hydro deal, but you’ve piqued my interest. I went to 2 Tigard RAs this morning–one had no Edges, the other 2. One had no Hydros (a woman I’ve seen before had a cartful of them, a fistful of cpns, and her own private cashier), the other had some. I got the last 2 Edges for $2.79 each after 20% discount. Used two $2 in-ad cpns (some stores/cashiers won’t allow multiples; most will) and the NLA Edge BOGO which took off $2.79. So a $1.21 moneymaker and $5.58 credit toward the $10 UP on $25. I believe the deal also works on Skintimate and Hydro shave creams. NOTE: one store had a correction posted. The UP deal expires 3-31 not 4-2 which is what the new ad states.

Is that store ignoring the limit of 4 like coupons?

Reply

Howard March 24, 2013 at 8:10 pm

Yeah, the Main St. Tigard store seems to let people do whatever they want.

Can I use the $2/1 any L’Oreal Cosmetic Face Product for lipcolor?

Reply

Brenda March 24, 2013 at 2:28 pm

JHollyhock,
I’m not exactly sure which coupon you are referring to, but their website does not include their lipcolor in the face make-up. It only includes foundations and concealers. That being said I would double check the coupon and look to see if the picture includes more than just foundations and concealers. I know that they don’t always include everything in the pictures, but sometimes it can help. You could always ask the cashier and see what they say as well.

I remember a past debate at the store about a similar issue trying to figure it out-it isn’t all that clear on the coupon. If my memory serves me right I think it was how Brenda stated it above. But you could always try it too and if it works without beeping, then probably would be good.

For the Irish Spring Soap deal, the list above says “Use $1/2 coupon from 3/10 SS insert”, but the coupon database and my insert have $.50/1 coupon and it’s only good for 6 pack of soap.

Brenda March 24, 2013 at 2:18 pm

Amanda,
The Irish Spring coupons and their values are regional. My inserts have both the .50 off 6pk bar soap coupon and a .50 off body wash coupon. I would assume that Melody’s scenario included the body wash and her coupons or database she used had different values.

I’m not sure that this relates to the razor question/discussion above-but I have learned something about razor coupons in general recently (by misinterpreting it & being corrected):
coupons that say “disposable” razors are the type that does not take a refill.

Brenda March 23, 2013 at 3:31 pm

Yikes, Charolyn thanks for the info. Looks like all of the coupons I have, with the exception of the Silk variety, say “disposable”. I’ll have to wait and see what’s on the shelf to see if I can do the deal I was planning to do.

So I found the 3 pack Hyrdo Razors that said disposable on the package and paid $9.19 each (shelf price was cheaper than Melody’s!)
I couldn’t believe that I actually found some at my favorite store (stock has been pretty sad lately.) It’s been awhile since I’ve scored some moneymaking razors!

Great Job!! I didn’t actually make it to the store today (VERY unusual for me-but good to have a family fun day once in a while).
Tomorrow I will check it out-but you have inspired me :-)

While we’re on the subject of close shaves, there’s also a $1/1 Edge shave gel cpn in 2-10 SS, but it expires Sunday 3-24.

Here’s the razor deal that I’m planning to do if the 3 packs are included.
Buy 3 Schick Razors $11.99 ($9.59 with my 20% discount) = $28.77
Use 3 $4 coupons, 1 $4 in-ad coupon, and 1 $3 Video Value coupon =
$9.77, receive $10 UpR.

Good call, I forgot about the VV coupon! The disposable razors are $11.99 if I remember correctly, but the Hydro Silk razor is $12.49. So Jacqueline, your scenario would be perfect, just a little bit more expensive.

I’ll add the VV to the list, thanks Brenda!

charolyn March 25, 2013 at 8:48 pm

I did realize today that you can’t use the VV and the in ad coupon on the same product-as they are the same type of store coupon (as I was meaning to)-but fine how you listed it Brenda, as you are buying 3 packs-you could have added one more in ad coupon if your store allows it.

Brenda March 25, 2013 at 11:17 pm

I did end up using 2 of the in-ad coupons and the VV for my 3 razors. I like to plan for just using 1 in-ad coupon and then if the cashier allows it, use more.

Great! Glad you didn’t miss out on that.

Does anyone know the price of the Schick Hydro Silk disposable razors? Also are the Schick Hydro silk razors the same price as the Schick hydro 5 razors ($11.99)?

If so would the following scenario work?
(2) Schick Hydro Silk Razor $11.99
(2) Edge Shave Gel $3.49
Use (2) 4/1 Schick coupons from 2/24 SS insert or 3/24 SS insert
Use BOGO Edge Shave Gel up to $3 (printable NLA?)
Use $1/1 Edge coupon from 3/10 SS insert
Use $4/1 Schick Rite Aid store coupon from Weekly ad
Use $2/1 Edge Rite Aid store coupon from weekly ad
Pay $12.96, Get $10 +UP
$.74 each after coupons and reward

Or if I split into 2 transactions,

Transaction 1:

(1) Schick Hydro Silk Razor $11.99(?)
Use $4/1 Schick Coupon from 2/24 SS insert or 3/24 SS insert
Use $4/1 Schick Rite Aid Store Coupon from weekly ad
Pay $3.99
$11.99 towards $10 +UP

Transaction 2

(1) Schick Hydro Silk Razor $11.99(?)
(2) Edge Shave Gel $3.49
Use $4/1 Schick Coupon from 2/24 SS insert or 3/24 SS insert
Use $4/1 Schick Rite Aid Store Coupon from weekly ad
Use BOGO Edge coupon up to $3.00 (printable NLA?)
Use $1/1 Edge coupon from 3/10 SS insert
Use $2/1 Edge Rite Aid store coupon from weekly ad
Pay $4.97
$18.97 towards $10 +UP

Pay $8.96 Total between both transaction, Get $10 +UP
FREE after coupons and reward

I’m wondering about the disposable razors, too. I think there is a pack of 3 but I’m not sure about the shelf price. You’re deal looks great to me. If the disposable multipacks count for this deal then you can use the $3 Video Value coupon in your first scenario, it’s not as high as the in-ad codupon but it would save you from doing 2 transactions.
It’s confusing to me the difference between the 2 kinds of Hydro Razors, I know that there is a single Schick Hydro Razor pack and a Schick Hydro multipack available but all of the coupons that I have show pictures of the multipack (the Silk coupons do show both) so I’m not sure if they will work with the multipack. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what we can find at the store.
