Here’s another sceario for the Kids Arms & Hammer Spinbrushes. Today I bought 4 @ $7.49 BOGO and then bought the larger size Arm & Hammer Toothpaste for $5.49. Used 2 – $2/1 spinbrush coupons and $1.50/2 A&H toothpaste coupons. Paid $14.97 and received 2 – $5 +UP rewards. Total OOP was $4.97 for 4 spinbrushes and 2 toothpastes, or .83 cents each! My daughters were so excited – they’ve been wanting these for a while.

Also, on the Colgate Total Advanced, there is a $.75/1 Colgate Total printable available at http://www.believeinheroes.org, making the Colgate a $.75 moneymaker after +UPs. (Click on Savings tab about halfway down the page…)

FYI-the colgate toothpaste & the Boogie wipes are even slightly better deals with the 20% discount level=rang up 3.43 (toothpaste) & 3.83 (wipes).

You can use both we consider the one in the ad a store coupon even though it says manufacturers!

Reply

Amy November 6, 2011 at 7:31 pm

On the optifree contact solution, it looks like the coupon in the ad is manufacturers but it says with wellness card? And also suggests you use the man q from today’s paper. Anythoughts if we get to use both? Thanks!

Reply

Melody November 6, 2011 at 7:53 pm

You can use them together! The coupon in the ad’s barcode should start with RC49 which means it is a Rite Aid store coupon that can be stacked with a traditional manufacturer coupon. I’d love to know if this is a good price w/ both coupons stacked together. Have you checked in-store?

I tried the Sally Hansen deal today to buy 3 nail polishes:

(1) SH “crackle” @ 6.99
(2) SH “sheer” @1.99

Used:
BOG 50% (the 50% off came off the cheaper ones)
Rite Aid 10% (this discount was applied to one of the cheaper ones)
1-$2 off SH crackle coupon form the “get the look” coupon booklet that came from the glam camp SCR deal a few months ago
2-$1 off SH nail polishes from 9/25 insert
1-$0.50 SH coupon from the walmart insert (don’t remember the date)

My receipt looks like this:

1.79
6.99
.99
= $9.77 before coupons (interesting to note, for the +up to print you need to be within 50c of the required purchase total, so anything above $9.50 should trigger this SH $3 +up reward)

I used the above-mentioned coupons (-$4.50), paid 5.27 and got a $3 +up, so about $2.27 for 3 nail polishes.

It would have been a bit better had I used 3 of the $1 off coupons.

If you have 7 of the $1 off coupons a better scenario is:

(7) 1.99 nail polishes, subtotal is 10.75 (with 10%)
use 7 $1 coupons to bring total down to 3.75 ,
get 3 +up reward = .75 for 7 items for easy stocking stuffers. (I just wanted to try the crackle and don’t have that many coupons)

Your explanation in perfect.

Another question. Is the glasses deal only on zoom or are other brands included?

Thank you for your blog. I wouldn’t even shop rite aid if it weren’t for you and your easy to read deals….I shop them almost every week and enjoy it!

Reply

Melody November 5, 2011 at 4:06 pm

The ad shows all sunglasses and readers, so should work on any brand.

Thanks for your kind words, glad you’re enjoying Rite Aid!

luree November 5, 2011 at 2:21 pm

Is the +up limit for number of items or number of +ups?

Reply

Melody November 5, 2011 at 3:41 pm

It is number of +UP Rewards. So if you get one +UP Reward for buying 2 items and the limit is 2, you can buy 4 total items.

Nicole November 5, 2011 at 12:15 pm

For the Colgate 360 toothbrush there is also a $.75/1 coupon at the colgate website http://www.colgate.com/app/Colgate/US/Corp/Consumers/SpecialOffers.cvsp I think it would work for this deal! :)

thanks

The Lysol coupons are often regional, I don’t always get them in Tri-Cities. :(

Reply

tricia November 5, 2011 at 2:16 pm

Bummer.. I was excited about them

Reply

Kathy November 5, 2011 at 7:47 pm

They are not in the Oregonian either :-(

One thing I did see that some people might miss is a Walmart sheet with 3 coupons for Huggies products. At first glance, I thought it was just for Walmart but they are manufacturer’s coupons.

what is a single check rebate?

Reply

Brenda November 5, 2011 at 2:39 am

The single check rebate program is offered by RiteAid. It’s a process of purchasing specific items (advertised in the weekly ads or in the monthly rebate book) and submitting your receipt information online. At the end of each month, Rite Aid will mail you one check that includes all of the rebates you purchased that month.
If you check the top of Melody’s post there’s a link the the Single check rebate program that will give you more details and help you set up your rebate account.

When the Ups deal you post says Limit 4 does that mean you can get 4 diff. ups from purchasing?

Reply

charolyn November 5, 2011 at 9:19 am

That means you can buy the item 4 times and get +ups -after that you don’t get any more. It is tied to your card.

Speaking of the Resolve/Jet Dry rebate, if you did the Resolve last week make sure your rebate cleared. Mine did NOT but I called and they’re fixing it.

I’d heard from someone else that theirs didn’t work either. With the wording on that receipt, I wonder if they have some of the coding wrong in their system? I’m glad they are taking care of you!

Reply

Jen November 11, 2011 at 1:52 pm

That’s so wierd…mine didn’t work either. I’ve been doing rebates with them for a long time and this is the first time I’ve had an issue. I did email them and received an email back saying they would fix it, but I am going to be more careful in the future to make sure things go through.

On the Osteo-Biflex BOGO deal…I thought you could use 2 coupons…one for each item you are buying cause it’s essentially just 50% off each item. I know Rite-Aid just changed their BOGO policy, but I thought it was just that you could not longer use 2 BOGO coupons at the same time to get both items for free. Thanks. :)

Reply

robyn November 4, 2011 at 2:00 pm

One more thought…I’ve been using the 2 coupons on the BOGO offers…with no problems. :)

Reply

Melody November 4, 2011 at 2:02 pm

They did change their policy on the BOGO coupons, you used to be able to use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO promotion to get both items for free but not anymore. They did also change it so you can only use one “cents off” coupon per BOGO promotion. So you can only use 1 coupon on the Osteo Bi-Flex deal. :(

You are right, as it is essentially 50% off each and they used to allow it, but no longer.

Reply

Melody November 4, 2011 at 2:03 pm

I posted before I saw your 2nd comment. I think both coupons will scan, so if the store doesn’t know the policy or doesn’t check too closely on the coupons, they probably will go through. I have heard from others that they have been able to use them, but I just can’t post that way as the official policy states that you can’t use 2 coupons.
