The spin brushes have 4 as a limit. I did 2 of that deal and got 2 $5 ups.

There is another good Robitussion deal beside the $6.49 4oz one. Get the 8 oz size and pay $8.99. Minus gold discount it’s $7.19. Then use the $3 off 1 9-16 RP coupon also use a $2 off any Robitussion or Dinetap from the cold and flu booklet and a $2 SCR for a final oop of 19 cents.

Does anyone know if the bigger Rite Aids have 3M or Post-it labels? Ours does not have labels…

Reply

Brenda October 19, 2012 at 4:32 pm

I looked at my local stores (vancouver, wa) and could not find any of the labels you’re looking for and the employees didn’t remember ever having them. I do consider these stores to be pretty small, so you might have better luck at the bigger ones.

Yup, No summers eve deal or paper towel deal here.

Quick clarifying question — on a coupon from the ad (oh say for Robitussin) it states one per customer w/ Wellness Card. Does that mean I can only use 1 of these all week since it is tied to the card? Or can I do the deal multiple times in different transactions? I looked at the Rite Aid guide and didn’t see this scenario. Sorry if its a dumb question — I’ve just been trying our Rite Aid for a few months so its still new.

Reply

Brenda October 15, 2012 at 10:52 pm

VJ,
First off there are no dumb questions around here, we’ve all been in your shoes before and are happy to help.
You can use the in-ad Robitussin coupon multiple times. In fact, some cashiers will let you use more than 1 of the same in-ad coupon in one transaction. Personally, I find it easier to do them in separate transactions to avoid any issues at the register. In-ad coupons are not tracked or tied to your card like the UpR deals are.
Melody wrote a great Rite Aid store guide that you might find helpful (there is a link to it at the top of this post) and be sure to ask any other questions you have.

Reply

charolyn October 16, 2012 at 8:40 am

I like to ask before I buy, if I am interested in using more than one at a time-I have found many cashiers that are fine with it. They do
hold to the no more than 4 limit-like any coupon of the same type, in one purchase.

Reply

Howard October 16, 2012 at 5:17 pm

The large RA I usually go to has a strict policy on the Limit 1 per Customer in-ad cpns. So I go to the one a couple miles away and ask at the register if I can do multiples, and they always say yes. I certainly wouldn’t ask the first store to do consecutive transactions–that would be sort of an insult to their intelligence when they are already strict about the policy. But I’d go back another day if necessary. It’s easier to find a store or cashier who will allow the multiples in one shot.

The Gain/Cheer deal also includes Olay products (BO50% off) and covergirl. I checked out some prices today & think I will get 2 detergent, 1 dryer sheets & 2 olay 2 pack bars-which will come out slightly over $20 before coupons.
-coupons: $4 for detergent (2-$2) $1 for dryer sheets $3/2 for olay from 9/16 SS -$7 +ups = about $5 !

Reply

Brenda October 15, 2012 at 7:45 pm

charolyn,
Have you got any Olay coupons from the catalina machine recently? I was putting together my P & G deal when I remembered I had some. I was able to use a couple $3/1 Regenerist coupons on the cleanser which made my deal much better!

Reply

charolyn October 16, 2012 at 8:42 am

Oh- thanks for the reminder. I do have that and the coupon that is off soap, when you buy a cleanser would work great together!

Was anyone in the Portland area able to do the Purex deal?

Reply

Laura, SW Pdx October 15, 2012 at 3:15 pm

Nope. I was told Regional for Seattle/Tac area.

Reply

Jennifer October 15, 2012 at 2:18 pm

Last week I had a BOGO coupon, a cents off plus a rite aid coupon. Today I went to a different Rite Aid and they said they can’t do that. Did this change since last week?

Reply

Melody October 15, 2012 at 2:22 pm

I read the coupon policy to say you can use a BOGO and a cents off coupon together and I’m pretty sure that is what they intended, but some stores interpret it differently. The RA store coupon wasn’t the issue (as you can stack those), I’m sure it was the BOGO and cents off coupon that held them up. Unfortunately, it’s not crystal clear and could be misinterpreted.

Reply

charolyn October 15, 2012 at 5:55 pm

Yes in my experience-it all depends on your cashier-even within the same store-different ones will have different opinions.

Reply

Jennifer October 16, 2012 at 9:08 pm

Well she must have once worked at Safeway… She was sort of rude, even drew me a picture on how one coupon was for BOGO and the other was cents off and they BOGO was for these two gums and the cents off there wasn’t enough gum left..

Reply

charolyn October 16, 2012 at 9:11 pm

The BOGO is for the free product-which does leave one available for the cents off!! Maybe she needs a picture too :-)

OH. MY. GOODNESS. My mom and I each just got a Rogaine product to mail in the rebate and give the product to a friend who uses it… the form says “offer expires 12/31/12 but you must purchase them by 9/30/12. I already cut out both UPCs and now I’m out $40 more than I had planned on!!! SADDD DAYYY. Already got our friend excited about the free goodies we were getting for her. Do you think the rebate processors might still send our checks, or are they pretty stiff on the dates?

Reply

Melody October 15, 2012 at 5:26 am

Oh my goodness Cass, I’m SO sorry. I’ll change the info here on the match ups. I would contact the company. The only reason I even posted the rebate is that it’s clearly listed on the home page of their website, so it totally seemed like it was available. I would email them and see what they can do for you. Good luck!

Reply

Howard October 15, 2012 at 12:57 pm

Oh that’s a big loss, I hope it works out for you. No pain, no gain, Rogaine. Rebate clearinghouses are pretty anal, so your best bet is through the company.

Did anyone find the summers eve deal?

Reply

Laura, SW Pdx October 14, 2012 at 9:16 pm

I went early enough today when the cashier was bored and the boy stocking shelves seemed bored too…So, I asked them to scan (due to no tags or ad’s to support the post) and I tried the Pepperidge Farms, the Oreos aka Nabisco, the Summers eve and the Purex and none were applicable. All of those deals were posted on Queensbee (Tacoma/Seattle blog) and the nice boy said that the SeaTac deals are different than Portland. The cutoff is before Tacoma (can’t remember which town he said is cutoff). I left with a free Blistex and a Robitussen (but I did that wrong as I noticed once I got home it was .99, not .49 – but stil a great deal!) If you haven’t printed the Summer’s Eve coupon yet and it may or may not pan out down the road..just do it for fun. Turn your speakers on beforehand!

Cindy October 14, 2012 at 8:55 pm

I tried buying the Finesse today and it wasn’t on sale and it didn’t print a n UP reward. Looked through the flyer w/salesclerk and didn’t see it either. Am I missing something? Also, ALWAYS check for all the UP rewards. My Centrum didn’t print and I had to go back and they gave me a gift card, since they tried a second time and it didn’t print. I was getting the flavor burst ones. I got hung up on the Finesse and forgot to check for that one.

Reply

Melody October 14, 2012 at 8:57 pm

The Finesse was under the section that I listed as possibly regional, sounds like your area didn’t get those deals. Good tip on the rewards, I still miss some from time to time when I get busy!

So im a little new to the 10% 20% off at rite aid when accumulate enough points and im wondering can anyone clarify do i get the percentage off on the ticket price or the price after coupons?

Reply

charolyn October 14, 2012 at 6:57 pm

It is the ticket price-which is one of the many things that makes Rite Aid so great!

Reply

Howard October 15, 2012 at 12:54 pm

You get the 10% or 20% off of the shelf price OR the sale price, whichever is lower. Coupon value has no effect on this. If it’s a BOGO or BOGO 50% off store deal, there is no 10% or 20% discount.

Reply

Brenda October 14, 2012 at 5:09 pm

I got a nice suprise when I bought 2 pkgs of the no nonsense socks today. One rang up at $3.99 (with my discount) and the other rang up at $2.49 on sale and I received 2 $4 UpR’s. Now I can’t quite figure out why it did. I bought the same style-no show color socks 3 pk. but they had different colors in them. It wasn’t clearance or some type of BOG50% because it didn’t show on my receipt. Plus I don’t know which colors were the ones that rang up on sale.
Not much help, sorry.
I’ll have my sister try and re-create the same magic tomorrow and maybe we can figure it out.

Reply

Howard October 15, 2012 at 1:00 pm

I bought one set Sunday and they were $4.99 before 20% off. One black pair, two whites, if that helps. Should have paid more attention to the ad and bought the limit of 2.

Reply

Brenda October 15, 2012 at 7:40 pm

So my sister and I figured it out today. I believe it’s only the 3pk no show socks with one pink, yellow, and blue socks. We tried other colors and they rang up at the regular price.
Not sure if anyone is interested but the UPC number is
#070011167559. They should ring up at $2.49 and you will receive the $4 UpR. The limit is 2 on this deal.

charolyn October 16, 2012 at 8:44 am

Thanks! I still can get 1 more-so will look for this :-)

Reply

Howard October 16, 2012 at 5:08 pm

I bought a pack just like you described (today)–or very similar; it was the only one left on the $4.99 peg. But it must have been hung in the wrong place because it rang up at $5.49 before wellness discount. I returned it and stopped at another nearby RA and found another $4.99 set like the one I got Sunday.

Reply

Brenda October 16, 2012 at 9:53 pm

Darn! I thought I figured it out. Sorry that I misled you, but am glad you were smart enough to return it!
I guess free is good enough!

I found one store in the Hillsboro area (tanasbourne) that had them Wednesday! & got two. They still had a few left-was on the
end cap by the socks. They are the solid color ones-not the white type with the stripe. Really appreciate the tip :-)

Howard October 19, 2012 at 3:21 pm

Glad your trip was as sock-cessful as mine. I think you like these bargain hunts even more than I. This was a nice tip that I know I’d have overlooked.

Brenda October 19, 2012 at 4:27 pm

Yea! I’m glad you finally found some!
I was beginning to think that it was only at my store or something.

Brenda October 14, 2012 at 5:03 pm

Heads up!
There’s a new P&G rebate available that will work perfectly with this week’s sale, or you can wait since the rebate goes until the end of the year. Since RiteAid seems to have some sort of P&G sale nearly every week, it shouldn’t be hard to spend $50.
Here’s a link to it
(hopefully I know what I’m doing and this link works right)

I missed the Rite Aid P&G special….I did mine at Kmart because they’re giving out $5 gift cards for spending $50 and there’s already a $10 rebate for spending $30 on P&G items so in the end I just spent $50 and getting a total of $30 back ($15 from P&G & $15 from Kmart). This shopping is a learning process!

Don’t worry, Janene!
Sounds like you still scored a great deal! There always will be a deal that you miss, it doesn’t mean you did it wrong…just different.

I don’t see the goldfish crackers in the circular (and not marked on the shelves either)

The Blistex lip balm is a small moneymaker if you have the 20% discount. Mine rang up at $2.23 (reg price is $2.79) and of course got the $2.50 UP.
Thanks for the tip on the No Nonsense; mine were free after 20% discount and UP.
One thing I didn’t see above: BIC disposables are BOGO 50% off, plus a $2 UP. There’s a BIC BOGO cpn in today’s Oregonian. I checked with a knowledgeable clerk at RA today and she said the “free” razor would be the half-price one, not the full-price one. I posed the same query to Walgreens mgr recently–they had Pantene BOGO 50% off, and there was a BOGO paper cpn–he told me the same thing–the free one would be the half-price product.

Thought I’d share in case other people don’t know about the FREE coupon on the Adperk website. There’s a coupon for $2.99 off any Rite Aid brand FlavoRX product, in the pharmacy. This is a flavored liquid that you add to medicine to make it taste better. When I went to print the coupon I realized it actually says “FREE…from the Pharmacy.” Thought other people might be interested as well.

for those of you who got the early edition of Sunday’s paper…..is the Ocean Spray a deal that’s going to happen in Gresham?

Reply

Brenda October 13, 2012 at 11:38 pm

The ad in the Oregonian did not include any of the regional deals, including Ocean Spray. Boo.
I really didn’t think we would get them, but maybe someday we will!

Ha Ha Howard!
No the only thing I’m still holding out for is WWE Wrestling, don’t even try and convince me that isn’t REAL!

Ever since we went boozy over here in Washington, we get even less deals than you guys…in fact I don’t think WA or OR have ever got regional sales from RiteAid, have we?!

Melody October 14, 2012 at 4:00 pm

We got them once in the Tri-Cities last year I believe, but haven’t since. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Janene Jones October 12, 2012 at 8:55 pm

I got the Centrum coupons on the bottom of my receipt last week and almost threw them away….think I’m going to do the Centrum deal…and the Robitussin. I just want to fill my medicine cabinet!

Reply

Brenda October 14, 2012 at 3:05 am

Janene,
This is definately the time of year to stock your medicine cabinet with all of the great sales. Nothing worse than having to pay full price for medicine, or getting sick and realizing that you don’t have anything to take for it!

Howard October 14, 2012 at 8:16 am

If this year is anything like past years, RA will have loads of free (with rebate) cold/allergy-related items in the SCR circular in November, usually good for only one week.

@Laura,SW PDX
I have the Centrum $3mg from the Seattle papers..other regions received a $3 Robitussin mq..also quite handy for this weeks sales.

Laura, SW Pdx October 12, 2012 at 6:57 pm

Thank you Erin! I’ve decided to move on and get over the Centrum and do the Robitussin deal instead! Our office staff has been passing along a cold and sore throat all week so a little cought medicine at .49 a bottle might go a long way!

what does this mean?

*These will ring up with your Wellness+ discount, so as low as FREE after coupon and reward

does everyone get the Wellness+ discount if you use your card or is it based on some criteria?

Reply

M October 12, 2012 at 1:10 pm

There are different “levels” of wellness+ discounts if you have the “Gold” status you get 20% off shelf price or you get the sale price, whichever is lower.

Reply

Laura, SW Pdx October 12, 2012 at 1:14 pm

Okay, thank you. I’m sure I’m not “gold” since I only do a few deals now and then. Good to know!

Reply

Janene October 14, 2012 at 1:18 pm

How do we know when our Wellness+ discount will be applied?

Reply

Howard October 14, 2012 at 4:21 pm

You get the lower of the sale price or the Wellness discount, not both.

Reply

Desi October 12, 2012 at 1:15 pm

It is based on your card….if you have 500 points you get 10% off all non-sale items…if you have 1000 points you get 20% off all non-sale items. So some items maybe free or a moneymaker if you get enough points to qualify for a discount.

Laura, SW Pdx October 12, 2012 at 1:20 pm

Okay, thank you Desi. I just logged in. I have 238 points! I see the chart now and how it all works. Yay! Thank you!

Howard October 12, 2012 at 7:55 pm

The discount is based on accumulated purchases. After $500 in a calendar year, you get 10%; after $1000, 20%. Look at your receipt sometime and it should tell you what your total spending has been, as of the previous day.

Do you ever get queasy when you see you have something like 2100 points? At the beginning of the year I made it a point to purchase as much from RA as reasonably possible to get to Gold. I feel like with all the free things and AWESOME deals we get, that much spent seems too high. But, I wonder how much I got for free and back in rebates because of shopping there. I think this upcoming year I’m going to keep track of how much I save, at least at RA. It’s pretty interesting.

Reply

Howard October 14, 2012 at 4:23 pm

HeyCupcake, they send me an email once a month or so showing me how much I’ve spent and saved. I don’t really pay attention to it, and I think you can also find it on their website once you log in. (Why do I now have a sudden craving for cupcakes?)

Brenda October 14, 2012 at 7:16 pm

This year I wasn’t worried at all about earning the 1,000 points because it was so easy to earn them last year. My receipt from today shows 1,908 points and I’m beginning to wish they offered another level for us die-hard loyalists!

Reply

HeyCupcake October 14, 2012 at 10:02 pm

Ha, that’d be great, Brenda! Or at least a reward for every 500 pts accumulated. I love RA though, I can relax a lil next year ;) SO- once 01/01/13 rolls around, our Gold statuses are reset to 0? andThanks for the tip, Howard. That kinda thing interests me. Don’t you still have a box of FUNdaMiddles in your pantry?

Brenda October 15, 2012 at 6:01 am

Yup, it will start over in January. We will still receive the 20% discount all year, the points earned are what qualifies you for the following year.

HeyCupcake October 15, 2012 at 12:33 pm

Thanks Brenda, good to know!

Laura, SW Pdx October 12, 2012 at 12:14 pm

Thank you Cas! It appears that Portland received the Robitussen and Tacoma the Burst – at least, I think that is the case. After all of the posts from me re this subject, I am going to pass and use my rewards on some of the other deals – but thank you so much for the offer! Laura
