My son went to the dentist yesterday. He got a bunch if goodies in a bag that had coupons on it. Plus they had lotsof toothpaste coupons in the lobby. The bag had $1 off 1 oral b floss making the floss a $1 money maker! I had one from my recent visit too! Score! It’s the only floss my hubby will use!!!

I actually missed that there was free floss with the toothpaste deal (was focusing no doubt on the money maker with the toothpaste!)-so your comment here helped me too :-)

Just wanted to let you know what I found at my Rite Aid today. At the entrance of the store they had a large bin full of items from their $1 isle that were marked 75% off. This makes them .25 each. Since I am helping with Operation Christmas Child this year, I was able to buy ‘tons’ of great stuff for so cheap…tablets, pens, hair clips, color books, tape, and lots of other stuff. I even decided to try their packages of make up remover cloths…hey, for .25 a package I am willing to try it out. I will let you know what I think. I usually use Simple or Olay or some other expensive brand.

My store had some too (it was on an end cap by the household), & I got cute large paper clips with soccer balls on them-there were other styles also. Also packages of safety pins if anyone else needs them (I do a bead craft with them).

DeAnn September 24, 2013 at 7:05 pm

I also wanted to tell you that I did use the .25 facial wipes that I got on the 75% of clearance bin, and they were actually very nice. They were the size and thickness of any of the other brands I’ve used, and I use them like a throw away wash cloth. Worked great. and .25 for a package of 25 wipes makes them .01 a wipe. :)
FYI – I bought 6 boxes of the kleenex 3/$3 and it printed a $1.50 catalina.

Nice-thanks for the tip.
Also thanks to your post, I got to thinking of Xmas boxes too & got a few more items today :-) Cute shoelaces, and foam puzzles.

Portland, Or. Posting here– I had a million 1/6 SS inserts and notta one had the $10/1 MQ for the personal testing device. Stinks to have kept them for that long and it wasn’t even there! Purged and threw them all away in the recycling. Jan-May are officially out of the insert filing system! I have two paper grocery bag-fuls. Wonder what that’d cost to ship to overseas military families who can use expired papers. I also didn’t have any Nutella or Dried Fruit coupons. Nor did I see any Dr Scholls for Her $8/2 MQs. I did score some free dish soap, toothbrushes and mouthwash today which rocks<3 Thank you for being so consistent, Melody<3

Hey Cupcake, don’t forget the free Reynolds cupcake papers from Winco and maybe Target, too. The $1/1 cpns expire 9-30. 6-23 SS.

charolyn September 22, 2013 at 8:00 pm

Thanks for the confirmation on no Nutella, I was thinking we didn’t get that-& now don’t have to check (I never can really trust my memory)!
Nice to think about the military families-but they need to be within the past month or two to send.

Laura, SW Pdx September 23, 2013 at 12:15 pm

And they have to be clipped….

Reply

HeyCupcake September 23, 2013 at 10:00 pm

Oh how interesting, I didn’t realize they needed to be clipped! Or within two months of expiration, however the April and May inserts have coups with 07/ & 08/ expirations so there’s time to use those, so I must sound awfully selfish for not taking the time to clip and ship! I can’t even manage clipping my own and maintaining my binder…thank goodness the insert filing system is so easy to maintain. I’ve been doing less and less strategic shopping trips. If its not that I plan match ups and end up not having the coups, or clip and go to the store to find all the hot items gone, then its the rain checks expiring before the items are on shelves again. Gasp — strategic-couponing blasphemy haha ;p ;}

Howard, thanks for the cupcake liner tip! Would be awesome to stock up, I should have 6-7 of those inserts (yay!)

charolyn September 24, 2013 at 11:09 pm

No-we could tell your heart was in the right place.
I don’t clip all the coupons either-I just stack them up in order of dates & when the super deals come along, then I go get the coupons. sometimes if I have time I will clip some I think I will use, but not always :-)
I mostly focus on Rite Aid & get some grocery deals if they are very good.

Brenda September 22, 2013 at 4:59 pm

Did an awesome deal on accident! (The best kind!)
I purchased 2 small boxes of liners and used the new .75/1 coupons for them, paying .88 for both after my discount. Then I received a $2 catalina! I didn’t realize it was printing on the small boxes!

Reply

DeAnn September 22, 2013 at 6:39 pm

which liners did you buy?

Reply

Brenda September 22, 2013 at 6:49 pm

Gee, that would be helpful wouldn’t it?! It was the small 19 count Kotex thin liners. Sorry about that.

Reply

Brenda September 22, 2013 at 7:02 pm

U by Kotex thin liners (black box 19 count).

Reply

DeAnn September 23, 2013 at 6:48 am

charolyn September 23, 2013 at 11:33 am

Just looked up the Kotex catalina and it goes until 10/6-best to buy in groups of 2, when you buy 3+ you get $2.50 cat (odd, as you usually get more when you buy the max!).
Also the Loreal hair catalina goes until 10/6 & is still the same price as last week if you have the 20% discount.

Can anyone tell me if the Gain coupon that says ‘fabric enhancer’ means fabric softener or sheets?

Reply

Howard September 22, 2013 at 6:00 pm

I think it means steroids for your towels.

Reply

Janene September 22, 2013 at 6:50 pm

:-) ….totally broke thru my “blah” mood with that little comment

Reply

Brenda September 22, 2013 at 7:15 pm

My vote says they all are fabric enhancers.
The coupon shows just the scent boosters with the detergents, but when I googled “gain fabric enhancers” it brought up the softeners as well. And well, they all do enhance your clothes, right?!

Reply

DeAnn September 23, 2013 at 6:50 am

Well, I e-mailed Gain and they responded with a “NO”. Fabric Enhancers means Fabric Enhancers only. Bummer!

Reply

Brenda September 23, 2013 at 7:53 pm

That’s silly, so they consider the scent boosters fabric enhancers? Why don’t they just call them that? It sure would clear up any confusion!

addi September 22, 2013 at 2:12 pm

I found some $1 peelies on the large packages of Carefree pantiliners, making them $.50 each after coupon and reward.

Anyone else get the Rite Aid coupon flyer in the mail this week? Not sure why I did but it has some good coupons to match up with this weeks sale (Kleenex, Breathe Right etc.) and they are all Rite Aid coupons that can be stacked!

Reply

Vicky September 22, 2013 at 6:30 am

I did not. But I live in Columbia County and we don’t seem to get a lot out here. Would have been nice though.

HeyCupcake September 22, 2013 at 5:08 pm

Brenda, thank you for sharing. For some reason I’ve been unable to reply to your comments. First was wondering if you receive Portland’s Oregonian and if that is where the RA ads had RQs? I was hasty and pulled all the SS inserts and recycled the rest of the papers. I keep one full paper to read so I’ll check…
Also, was the CAT you received prompted by purchasing two small boxes of the Carefree brand liners? Thanks!

Reply

DeAnn September 22, 2013 at 6:43 pm

The RA coupons that I got were in the mail, a tri-folded card with 6 coupons inside. They have 10 different product logo’s on the cover, but coupons for only 6. Kleenex -.50/1, Benadryl, Sudafed, Halls cough drops and I can’t remember the other one. I read some other post where the gal got a Triaminc coupon in hers so made for a great deal on that this week. I didn’t have that in mine though.

Reply

Brenda September 22, 2013 at 7:00 pm

Hey Cupcake,
The catalina is on U by Kotex not Carefree. Sorry for not mentioning that before. I bought 2 – 18 count boxes of thin liners and received a $2 catalina.
The RA coupons came in my mailbox, not the newspaper. I’m not sure why I received them, but as DeAnn mentioned, it appears that some people got different coupons. My sister didn’t receive any either and we shop very similarly so I don’t understand why some people got them and others didn’t.

If anyone did the Huggies deal from last week and received the $10 rite aid coupon off a big box of diapers, this would be a good week to use it with the sale price of $17.99.

Thanks for the early listing this week. If anyone ran out of $.50 Crest cpns, as I did, there were $1/2 cpns in the same P&G 9-1 circular.

Also I was doing a little more calculating & if you buy 3 & use the $3/3 coupon (same place) they will all be free :-) -with the coupon and 2-$3 +ups.

Good find–but no overage as with two tubes, right? I found a couple this afternoon with a bonus of a small tube and floss.

Right on there being no overage-but FREE is a great price too :-) especially if you are out of the other coupons. I got one with the bonus too :-)

Charolyn – I cannot find a $3/3 in P&G Sept 1, but I found a $2/3. So, a buck for qty 3 or am I missing the coupon?

charolyn September 23, 2013 at 9:33 pm

You are right Laura-that’s what I get for going trusting my memory! And yes it would be $1 for 3.

charolyn September 20, 2013 at 3:58 pm

Thanks & so early too :-)
The Palmolive Dish Soap (10 oz)-also has a $1/3 + UP! I was hoping it would go on sale :-)

Yep! Purchase 3, use 3 – .50 coupons and the $1/3 VV coupon, pay .50 and receive a $1 UpR back!
However, once again Washingtonians are left doing our dishes with alcohol since we got a page full of that instead of cleaning products!

So sad you are missing out :-(

So I double checked at the store and the shelf price on the Palmolive is $1.99! Ick, even with my discount it wasn’t worth doing the deal especially since The Columbian didn’t get the coupon either. Oh well!
