I was about to ask the same thing. I think it’s September because I don’t see it in the August circular ending 9-4. I think it’s asinine of RA to make the SCRs overlap with the weekly ads and cause confusion for some; the SCRs used to end on Saturday not Tues. Some young marketing genius probably came up with this plan.

I should have noted that, the Sani-Hands rebate actually runs 9/2 – 9/8 (the full week of the ad). Sometimes they do that with a rebate actually listed in the ad.
I agree that it is kind of strange the way they overlap the rebate months. There must be some reason for it, although it does make my job a smidge harder.
I was told at my store that they changed it because the stores didn’t have enough time to change all of the shelf tags necessary for the new SCR’s and the weekly/monthly sales together. I suppose I should be more sympathetic towards the employees. It’s just tough to keep track of it all.
Thanks for the info. I bought it today for $2.99 (they had not changed the shelf tag yet to that price or added the SCR tag) and submitted it online. Also checked the SCR site and confirmed that it’s offer #591 good 9-2 to 9-8.
FYI–my Sani-Hands SCR was confirmed today. It is a SEPARATE check from the August deals, so I requested two different checks for the two SCR items I purchased.
The Polident Video Values coupon says “78 ct or larger” so would not apply to the scenario above.

Re Similasan: seems this brand often has coupons in the Sunday paper, but I see none in the coupon database, so maybe not. If someone finds one, please post.

I found a $1.50/1 Similasan coupon in next week’s RedPlum. I get a copy early in the mail (not sure if Oregon people get it, I’m in SW WA). The insert also has $1/1 Infusium coupon which would make this week’s sale a $1 moneymaker (wish I had it earlier when I bought it this week). It also has 2 different Prune Juice coupons in it, one is .75/1 any Sunsweet prune juice and one is .75/1 Plumsmart or Plumsmart light.
Lots of goodies if you happen to get it in the mail and haven’t done all your shopping this week!

Yeah, I didn’t think you guys got the extra coupons. I find it weird that the coupons we get are actually a SmartSource insert tucked into the larger Red Plum cover wth other local ads and a QFC ad. Aren’t they seperate companies?

Yes, when I got all the info about changes to the program I thought it meant they loaded to your card. But they don’t. They are just linked to your Wellness Plus account online now, and you print the same as before.

Yes, there are four pages of coupons at the end of the ad that we did not get in Portland. Shoot, printed a bunch of Nivea coupons too. Oh well.
I successfully opted out of the downloaded UPs this morning at the register as soon as I entered the store. Everything worked fine when I checked out. The UPs look the same as before and are good 9-3 to 9-16. Then went to another RA on the way home to get a 2nd tube of Colgate, and the cashier warned me about the new program as soon as I approached the register.
How did that work? I went into my RA and the cashier, who is the store manager, told me that they can’t do it from the register. That I have to go online.
They totally did it at the register-took about one minute!

At my store the manager also told me she couldn’t do it there, and she couldn’t answer ANY of my questions about this new program. I went online when I got home to opt out, but I was told it will take 48 hours to take effect. I guess I will do my deals at the end of the week.
It may just be taking awhile to roll out or the stores aren’t making themselves aware of it. They can easily do it in-store, I did mine today in about 30 seconds. I’ll write up a quick post with the info I have, but I would recommend to the cashier (or manager) that they call corporate and get the information because it is out there for them.
It was really easy at my store too (of course they are a great couponing store-in Hillsboro Esplanade)-and then I could use it right away. Sorry to those who are having difficulties with their stores.
Honestly, I don’t think she really cared, and didn’t act like she was interested in learning how to help us customers out. When I talked with Rite Aid customer service, they said ALL stores were sent the information about this program, so if my manager didn’t know anything, it sounds to me like that is her fault.

The Duck tape SCR also has one running this month-looks like the same details. You can do it twice-so if you are like me & somehow bought 3-may well be worth it to buy one more.

there is also a Rite Aid coupon in the oral care books (don’t know if they are still available-I got mine about a month ago in the store). Ask up front as they were at the cashiers stands then.
Planned to use it today-but is not for the regular flossers-but is for the other items if you are interested-the Gum SCR ends today.
Someone needs to do a cross-promotion for gummy bears (or vitamins) and GUM flossers. Can’t have one without the other.
The PlumSmart juice cpn is actually for 75 cents. All they had at my store was the light version, but I got it because it was only 24 cents net. Also got two prune cans for 44 cents each net. Could not get the flu shot cpn book that is often referred to on this page; the pharmacist would not give me one w/o buying a flu shot. (I’d been warned about her by a couponing friend.) Please note that the 75-cent cpn is good only on PlumSmart and NOT the regular juice (which is 99 cents net). Thanks for pointing out this “plum” of a deal!
Hate the new load2card already. Only day 2. The +UPs came off BEFORE my man. coupons did (which left no balance to even use the man. coupons, much less the UPS that I have in my purse to use first!),which the cashier just threw up her hands and said she couldn’t do anything about this. So I voided the transaction and left the store. She told me I could only opt out online, but on the way home I went to another store, and they opted me out right there. I came home to check and double check that those ups were still in my account since I cancelled the transaction. I am thinking my days at Rite Aid are numbered………..we’ll see.
After hearing this I am VERY glad I opted out-& if that wasn’t an option-I would be done too. but when you opt out-it is just like before, except you can’t use the new +ups until the next day.

I was unsuccessful at opting out in the store today, so I put back all the stuff I was going to buy, since almost everything came with an up reward, except the Colgate toothpaste, since it only used coupons and did not produce an up. Well, since I have the 20% discount it rang up $2.63 instead of $2.99, so with the store coupon -2, it brought it down to where it wouldn’t take my manufacturers coupon for -.75. I left it behind…not a good day at Rite Aid for me.
Discovered this on the small Carefree packages:
( BOG50% off AND a +up for $2 when you buy 2. Limit of 2 (buying 4). The small size is about $1.59.
I bought 4 used 3- .50 coupons (also in inserts) and used $3 in +ups-paid .26 and got $4 in +ups back!
Also GREAT deal on photos-I also got my 10% discount off the sale price (which is less than 1/2 price-so don’t think I should have gotten it-but did). They are really nice quality also-first time I have developed there. I plan to do lots more!
What if you opted out the first time they changed the +UPS a while ago. Do you still have to opt out this time too?

I live in one of the “trail” areas that started loading the +ups a while back and opted out. The +ups are still printing on my receipt so I think you’re safe.
