Rite Aid: My Personal Trip + Kid’s Sunglasses Deal

by Melody on June 20, 2011

My husband and I were out of town this weekend, so I wasn’t able to head to Rite Aid until this afternoon.  I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of stock my local store had, including all the freebies and “hot” deals.

I could have split this up into two different transactions to lower my out of pocket, but they were super busy and I didn’t want to tie up the line any more than I already had.

Zantac 24-ct $7.99
Band-Aid Cars bandages 20-ct $2
Physician’s Formula Correcting Primer $10.95 w/ Try Me Free peelie
Physician’s Formula Correcting Concealer $4.47 after 50% discount

FREE with $7.05 overage after coupons, rebate and rewards

I also found a great deal on kid’s Style Science sunglasses, if you watched the $5/1 Style Science Video Values coupon from the May offers.

I too was pleasantly surprised at the stock at my store when I went on Wednesday. I assumed the hot deal items would be gone, but everything went very well. Thanks for your awesome match-ups Melody!

I too got the same Cars band-aids! I only had the rite aid video value coupon so 1 dollar was awesome for that brand and CARS!!

Cars is HUGE in our house. We’re planning a big outing to the new movie over the 4th of July weekend. I’ve been saving up my Fandango tickets from Living Social and the Safeway cereal deal, plus my concession cash from the Kellogg’s boxes. I’m not sure who is more excited. :)

Check the expiration date on your Concession Cash. I did a deal getting me free movie tix and Concession Cash from Kellogg’s that expired in May. We used all but one, which we gave away because we couldn’t make it to a movie in time to use it at the end. You may have done a different Kellogg’s deal than I did, and the CC may still be valid, of course.

Mine is just a voucher to print from Kellogg’s and doesn’t expire until July of 2012, so we’re good. :)

I just printed a coupon from a Rite Aid video. It says its a manufacturers. I know normally manufacturers can’t be stacked, but I see you used that scenario with band-aid. Are the Rite Aid printed coupons considered store coupons, even though they have the words “Manufacturer’s” on them?

stephanie June 20, 2011 at 1:51 pm

Yup, they are store coupons.

Melody June 20, 2011 at 1:55 pm

It is misleading, I know. Rite Aid’s coupon policy VERY clearly states that you can use them together. If you look at the barcode on the VV coupon, it starts with RC49 and the policy indicates these can be stacked with a traditional manufacturer’s coupon.

If you think you may have trouble at the store, print out the coupon policy and carry it with you. Rite Aid has a fantastic policy that covers most of the bases really well.

Thanks so much, Laides :)

I couldn’t find the Physicians Formula with a peelie.. was it actually on the package or can you just use the address that was posted previously?

I got the Zantac, but had to settle for the 75 instead of 150 but EH it was free+$1 so can’t complain “to much” toothpaste and the stride gum.. I paid $4.48 and got $6 in rewards I think. Felt pretty good but I really wanted the makeup!

Melody June 20, 2011 at 1:56 pm

It does have to have the peelie on it, unfortunately. The rebate form indicates that you actually have to send the peelie in with the form.
