Rite Aid: Pampers diapers +UP Rewards are rolling!

by Angela Davis on September 13, 2010

This is one amazing diaper deal at Rite Aid! To work it right, you’ll need to do at least two transactions.

Transaction #1:

Buy 2 Pampers Big Boxes @ $19.99/each = $39.98
Use $5/$25 Rite Aid couponthis coupon is available TODAY ONLY (-$5)
Use (2) $1/1 coupons from 8/29 P&G insert (-$2)
Pay $32.98, Get following +UP Rewards:

  • (2) $5 +UP Rewards — one for each Pampers
  • $10 +UP Rewards — for buying $30 in participating P&G products

Transaction #2:

Buy 2 Pampers Big Boxes @ $19.99/each = $39.98
Use $5/$25 Rite Aid couponthis coupon is available TODAY ONLY (-$5)
Use (2) $1/1 coupons from 8/29 P&G insert (-$2)
Use +UP Rewards from transaction #1 (-$20)
Pay $12.98, Get $20 +UP Rewards

You can repeat transaction #2 as many times as you’d like — but don’t clear out the store! If your store does not have the size you need, I suggest you buy up one size and save them for later or buy whatever they have and exchange them in a week or two when the store has restocked.

Thanks to all our readers for confirming that the +UP Rewards are rolling!

I went in for round #2 at the Rite Aid in NE Seattle and the $10 didn’t roll, but I had no problems with the $5.

Since I also tossed in the (free) nivea cream and (free) playtex, I didn’t mind.

I had a great Rite Aid experience today, did the J&J deal at Kelso Rite Aid… all together ended up printing $22 Up Rewards with my purchases, and turned around and went to the Rite Aid in Longview and did the P&G diaper deal. The awesome thing was both stores accepted the VV $5/$25 AND the manny printable $5/$25 that was available from Red Plum yesterday. My second transaction ended up being $8.xx oop for two boxes of size 5 pampers and infant advil and printed $20 in UP rewards. They didn’t make any issues at all over using coupons + $22 worth of rewards in one transaction. It seems to be hit and miss for me with Rite Aid coupon usage, but I LOVE IT WHEN IT WORKS!

I did the deal today, but the cashier and store office made a stink about the $5/$25 coupon (I’m in Oregon). I had two (print limit and used 1 per transaction) and they said that they were cracking down on those coupons and that I could only use 1 per month. Has anyone else heard this? Is this just a store thing or a corporate thing? Because next time I’ll take the coupon policy in and tell them that it doesn’t state that in the corporate coupon policy. I just want to be prepared for next time I go in!

I think they are probably referring to the Video Values $5/$25. Those you can only use once a month.

Is Rite Aid’s policy with the UP rewards listed online somewhere? I’ve never been allowed to use more than one UP reward per purchase. So the idea of using 3 UP rewards in the 2nd transaction seems crazy to me. The 122nd and Division store has always said that I can only use one UP reward per transaction. :(

I have never had them say anything and I repeated use multiple UPs – didn’t even know you weren’t supposed to.

Holly September 17, 2010 at 2:29 pm

I also always “pay” with a stack of +up rewards. I’ve never had a problem with that at 122nd & Div.

I did the deal twice in WA (Puyallup area) and the $10 +UP reward did not print again. Only printed the first time. Both $5 rewards printed, though, each time.

The add says limit 1 offer per household. WIll they let you buy two packs of the diapers and get two up rewards of $5 each. Also has anyone else tried using the rewards card and gotten the extra 10% off along with the $5 up reward and the $10 PG Up reward.

Anita – The ad does say limit one offer, but they can’t prevent you from buying more than one box. The cashier has no control over what rewards print or don’t, so if you do buy two boxes and both rewards print, that is just how their registers are set up. I know it’s really strange that they say limit one, but print multiples.

I personally did this deal and used my Wellness+ card (you have to to get +UP rewards) and I have the 10% discount, so my boxes rang up at $17.99. Sweet!

About exchanges sizes… I bought some Huggies in a size 3 about 2 weeks ago when they were on sale and went to exchange them for size 5′s that I needed. The cashier made a stink and tried to charge me $16 for the EXACT same diapers in a different size. Needless to say, if you buy them thinking you can exchange them be prepared for a possibly stinky cashier.

I had the same problem. I was told they had to return the diapers for the sale price and buy them for regular price. About a $4.oo difference. I ended up just leaving with my diapers that were too small and decided I would just try it again when they are on sale again. Very stupid!

If people miss the $5/25 you can always sign up for Rite Aid’s Video Values and earn a 5 off 25 by watching a 2 minute commercial.

The first transaction worked for me with 2 boxes of diapers (2 $5 and 1 $10 UP). I went back again tonight and bought only one box and then filled in with toothbrushes and shampoo that qualified for the $10 UP, but only the $5 UP reward printed this time, not the $10 UP. (Both transaction at Sunnyside Rite Aid.)

Helpful Note: Sunnyside Rite Aid had a bunch of size 4′s, 5′s, and 6′s left. Only a few boxes of 3′s left. They had them down the main diaper aisle and on a few end caps throughout the store.

It didn’t work for me I am in Oregon. Almost tempted to take a drive to the border haha. The $10 printed only the first time. I was buying them for my daycare faimiles & they were still more then happy to pay the $12 because at Target the Reg. price is still $20. I am just bummed because I really wanted to give them a smokin deal.

I am in Oregon & did the deal a 2nd time, i had 2 $5.00 rewards print but not the
$10.00 one. I was going to return them but after awhile the asst. manager just wanted to get rid of me, so she gave me a $10.00 gift card. I guess that sometimes it pays to be a pain in the butt!

The first transaction worked for me, but not the second $10 + reward. So I returned them. I did NOT make any friends there tonight with the employees…but I had 4 different people come up and ask me how I did all my deals! I had already done 2 transactions, gone out to my car, and then came back in so I didn’t hog the line:)

I live in Gresham and I actually make drive up to Vancouver to shop at rite aid. the cashiers and managers here are TERRIBLE! they make you feel like a criminal for using coupons, they have a bad attitude, and I usually leave the store with my head down because they embarrassed me in line. I guess they don’t like to see other people save money.
Good for you for getting the deals you wanted! Which Rite Aid did you go to?

I also had a bad experience with a RA cashier in Division and 122nd. One purchase I used VV coupon, my printer printed B&W coupon and the bar code did not look very sharp (I always have this problem with RA VV coupon, no matter how I set up the printer) Anyway the cashier kept saying that this coupon must have been used, re- produced. So she asked me to prove that this coupon belong to me, how is ridiculous. She acted like I was a coupon fraud or theft. When I got home, I attempted to write to RA corp. but things got busy with 2 little kids so I let it passed. The good thing was I did not let her ruined my days.

I had a similar experience at that same store a couple of months ago. I felt as though I had been treated like a criminal by one of the store managers. She would not allow a rite aid coupon to be used with a manufactures coupon. I politely asked to see a copy of the store coupon policy to which she told me it was private and none of my business. I asked her to call Rite Aid corporate. She finally, rudely, took the coupons. I left feeling embarrassed and humiliated. I did call Rite Aid corporate when I got home. They apologized and assured me that they would call that manager and make sure she understood the coupon policy. I would encourage you to call corporate.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience on 122nd and Division. The first time I went there I felt overly-scrutinized by the cashiers, but a little friendliness on my part seemed to go a long way. I’m there every week with loads of coupons and the two cashiers who are always there when I’m there are really friendly and helpful for me. In fact, I almost feel as if they’re happy to see me and my three little ones walk through the doors. Keep trying, maybe it was just a bad day.

Well the pampers at both Vancouver stores are almost sold out. There is a rite aid in washougal though. I don’t know what they have left.

Emma September 13, 2010 at 5:48 pm

I’ve read on another forum that the deal is working in Washington but not in Oregon. If I lived closer to Vancouver I would be tempted to go there and buy the Pampers!

Stephanie September 13, 2010 at 5:11 pm

Both the $5 and $10 rolled for me. I did the 2 transactions and got $5 rewards and a $10 reward both times. I went to the rite aid in Vancouver on 3rd way. There is only 3 boxes of 3s, (3) 4s and lots of 5s and 6s left though.

i just went and did the transaction… The first transaction went as planned, but the second transaction only printed me out 1 $5pamps UP reward….NOT 2, and also, the $10 UP reward did not print for the 2nd transaction either….it is still a very good deal for diapers i would say.

Emily September 13, 2010 at 3:56 pm

Just to clarify, the $5 Pampers UP rewards are rolling, but the $10 P&G UP reward is not rolling. If you use the same Wellness + card, you will not get the $10 P&G UP reward again. I have tested out the deal personally and have read on other forums that the rolling of the P&G UP is regional and our region isn’t included.

You might even get a better deal with your Wellness card, since $19.99 is the “regular” price and not a sale price. I bought two boxes and they rang up at $17.99 each (10% off). Pretty nice!
