Rite Aid: Up to $4 moneymaker on Colgate products (through 5/1)

by Melody on April 29, 2012

Rite Aid has a few great deals on Colgate products this week that double-dip nicely with the monthly promo that runs through the 1st of May.  Through 5/1, spend $20 on Colgate/Softsoap products and get a $10 +UP Reward (limit 4).  Here are a few ideas for you, combined with the weekly +UP Rewards that are running.

Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief Toothpaste (4 oz) on sale $4.99
Buy 1, Get $2.50 +UP Reward – limit 4
Spend $20, Get $10 +UP Reward – limit 4
Buy 4
Use (4) $1/1 coupon from 4/15 SS insert or $.50/1 coupon from 4/29 SS insert
Pay $15.96, Get (4) $2.50 +UPs and $10 monthly +UP
FREE + $4.04 overage after coupons and rewards

Colgate Kids or Adult Power Toothbrush on sale $6.99
Buy 1, Get $3 +UP Reward – limit 4
Spend $20, Get $10 +UP Reward – limit 4
Buy 3
Use (3) $2/1 coupon from 4/29 SS insert
Pay $14.97, Get (3) $3 +UP and $10 monthly +UP
FREE + $4.03 overage after coupons and rewards

You can mix and match to your heart’s content on this one, just as long as you are over $20 before any manufacturer coupons.  Even if your area didn’t get coupons (like mine), this is still an amazing deal.  I spent just over $1 after rewards for all four of the items in the picture above.  One thing to note: The toothbrushes will trigger your Wellness+ discount as the regular price is $7.49.  If you have your discount, you will have to add in another item to get over $20.

Remember, this deal is only good through Tuesday May 1st.  I did personally try it out today and it worked great!

Be sure to check out the rest of this week’s Rite Aid deals here.

How do you find the monthly +ups?

I also believe that the soft soap products are part of the $10 +up & they are on sale for 2/$5 this week-bar soap & body wash & I think liquid hand soap.

They are. I bought Softsoap body washes with my toothbrushes and the $10 UpR printed for me. The Irish Spring body washes also count towards the monthly UpR, but I don’t know if there are any coupons out for those right now.

So I did 4 toothbrushes, 2 adult and 2 kid and the 10 didnt print. Then I did 4 toothpastes and.it worked. I was thinking that maybe I should call and see if they can fix it? Any ideas?

From what I’m gathering, the adult toothbrushes aren’t triggering for some reason. I would call CS, as it doesn’t seem to have any exclusions on the reward. It’s hard for me to say though, because my store didn’t have signage at all. Good luck!

This worked for me. On my first transaction with my Mike & Ikes, I got a $1 off the toothpaste so I was able to use 5 coupons! Glad I did it in separate transactions. My Up Rewards show they expire 5/5

The toothbrushes did not count for me but my hubby likes the sensitive toothpaste so it was a good deal for me!

I was disappointed too when I bought 2 adult power toothbrushes and 2 toothpaste and only the toothpaste counted towards the $10 Up. I went back in and bought 2 more toothpaste, and it did print then, so overall free, not a MM. I should be thankful, not greedy !!

That’s really strange! Christiane, did you buy adult or kids? I bought 2 kids and it printed just fine.

This has been fixed as of today. All weekly ups now show an expiration of 5/20. All of mine done yesterday showed 5/5. So glad it was a glitch and not a policy change!

Thank for the heads up Brenda, mine also expire on 5/5 and I never would have noticed if you didn’t say something!

Melody,
Do the UpR’s that you earned today expire on 5/5? All of the weekly UpR’s I received today do except the monthly one, which has a date of 5/16. I’m really hoping this is just a mix-up. I sure wished that I noticed it earlier so I could have done multiple transactions to roll them. Now I have to figure out how to use $25 UpR’s that expire on Saturday.
On a much happier note, I found a ton of Colgate power toothbrushes on clearance for $3.74. I got 4 of those and 2 Softsoap bodywashes which made it a $12.40 moneymaker after tax! Yippee!

I just logged into my wellness plus account and noticed that they changed all my Up reward expiration dates to 5/20/12 ( I live in the area where they load them onto the wellness card). You may want to call and check about your paper up rewards.

Thanks Meghan!
I went back today, bought some more Softsoap and was happy to see a 5/20 expiration date on my new UpR’s.
