Dani found a sweet deal on Kraft Mac & Cheese at Safeway. The price is great even before coupons!
Kraft Mac n’ Cheese on sale 10/$5
Buy 10
Use (3) $1/3 coupons from 12/10 SS insert
Use (3) Safeway doubles (-$.50)
$.05 each after coupon & double ($.20 each without doubles)
Thanks, Dani!
Also, if you have the $3/$10 produce coupon you can get a pretty good deal on walnuts
Orchard Valley Harvest Walnuts (11.5 oz) on sale $3.49
Buy 3
Use $3/$10 J4U Produce coupon (personalized deal, I only have $3/$15)
$2.49 each after J4U coupon
Thanks, Susan!
Safeway doubles most manufacturer’s coupons to to $.50 each in Oregon and SW Washington. Find more Safeway deals here.

Do you have to buy 10 to get the sale price? Wouldn’t a better deal be buy 9? =$4.50 use 3 $1/3 and 3 dbls= free??
Yeah, you have to buy 10 to get the .50/per box price. Limit is 20.
Anyone know how long this sale lasts? Trying to decide if I want to order any coupons.
Get a rain check! Our Safeway was wiped out so I got one to use when they restock.
It’s only good till December 11
I picked up 10 boxes today at 63rd and Andresen in Vancouver.
I think it just goes through the 11th.
Thanks, Dani!
That’s unfortunate. I ordered some coupons last night, they probably won’t be here until Wednesday or Thursday.
Maybe I can try to get a rain check.
I just came back from Safeway and the one I went to had them on sale for 4/$5.00, not 10/$5.00….BIG price difference
Was there an in-ad coupon I missed?
I just went to the Safeway on 181st in Gresham and this deal worked for me! Thank you!
Is it marked on the shelf or did you just buy them and hoped it would work?
I would love to know too! I didn’t buy them at my Safeway because the shelf tag just said 4/$5.00 and I didn’t want to take the chance of having 10 boxes at that price. There were no other sales tags at my Safeway.
It was marked on the shelf that way. Should have taken a picture.
That’s a bummer, I went to the one on 209th and TV Hwy and it was marked with a tag 10/$5. Weird it would be different.
Since it says buy 10 or more, you should be able to buy 12 ($6) and use 4 $1/3, 4 doublrs and get them all free.
Oh you are smart, Ashley. I like the way you think.
I’m so torn as to what I should do! Do you think all Safeway stores in Oregon would ring up the same price, even though my Safeway did not have it marked?
Okay, I took one for the team
I couldn’t take it anymore, so I just went back to the same Safeway and bought 10. They were marked on the shelf as ONLY 4/$5.00, but when he scanned 10, it came to $5.00. Woohoo!!! Happy Dance! Thanks, Dani and everyone else who commented on this post for helping me out
Yay Lisa!! Glad it worked for you!
Thanks for doing that and taking one for the team. Yipee. I never find cheap/free mac n cheese. This is awesome. hope there is still some left. Thanks for posting everyone.
You’re welcome
I hope you were able to get a raincheck if they were all out
Just so you know, there is either a 20 box limit or they have to be in increments of 10. I picked up 27 and the first 20 were .50 and the last 7 were 1.29. I had 9 coupons. I purchased the last 7 anyways since $10 total for all 27 is still a great price.
Also, the sale was not listed on the shelf or in our paper but works once the 10th box is scanned. We are in MD.
Thats what I thought. Thanks for the clarification Kristi!
The $1/3 coupon wasn’t scanning at my Safeway and they wouldn’t take the coupon. The cashier also mentioned that the coupons on the Just for U site are manufacture coupons and I can’t stack manu coupons with Just for U coupons. I thought ALL digital coupons on their site are store coupons and I can stack. Not a very fun shopping trip. If anyone has info my two issues above I’d love to hear about it.
Thanks so much.
Not all of the J4U cpns are store cpns. I avoid the issue by not downloading any deal to my J4U card for which I also have a paper cpn that I can double. Supposedly the Procter & Gamble J4U cpns, regardless of whether they read “$ off” or “Save $…” are all mfr cpns. This issue was supposedly resolved a couple months ago on this site, (I think it was said that “Save $…” is considered a store cpn, “$ off” is a mfr cpn) but I don’t think that’s an iron-clad rule. J4U cpns cannot be doubled, just like internet printables (although many Safeways do double the latter).
I just got a raincheck and ordered some coupons, hope it works out!
At the Sweet Home, OR Safeway there was some on the shelf. It was marked $1.29/ea or 10/$5. Bought 10 boxes and used 3 coupons + 3 doubl’rs. Everything went perfectly, thanks for sharing
My girls eat a box of Mac N Cheese a month so we’ll be good for like a year here!!!
I just did it at four different Safeways. All four stores were out of the single boxes and allowed me to open the family packs in order to get 10 boxes or substitute a different type of mac and cheese. Used three coupons and one doubler and paid .50 cents for 10 boxes every time. Sandy and Gresham stores.
Buy 12, use 4 coupons with doubler for FREE mac and cheese! Worked perfectly and I got 24 boxes for free!
They are .50 if you buy 10 or more, limit 20.
That’s what I did too, no issues with the coupons scanning or with buying 12 at a time and getting the sale price. I went to two different Safeways (Highland and Gresham) and both had plenty in stock late this morning!
