Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to $.50 each. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:

I only bought 3 jars of Bertolli spaghetti sauce and received the $2 catalina
The Safeway brand pasta is part of buy-8-get-4. The pasta price is 49 cents each after discount, so not a bad option to fill out your 8 items. (I can also confirm that buying 2 Bertollis produces a $1 cat).
Another good thing to add to this would be the Crest Complete Toothpaste! They are part of the promo with $2.29 being the “promo price” If you used the $2/1 coupon you could get them for 29 cents each! You can only use 4 of the coupons in the same shopping trip. This is what I’m going to do anyway with the Bertoli!

lucerne shredded cheese 1.79-can use the california .55 dairy coupon with this (at least

check out the yogurts also-several are on this & I found the dannon activia 4 pack on 1/2
clearance price, so only .49 with that and the .50 off!
