Questions about how eCoupons work? Check out the eCoupon FAQ page.
Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to $.50 each. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page.
We are proud to be apart of The Grocery Gathering over at BeCentsAble, posting for Safeway in Oregon & SW Washington.
I’ll add more deals as I find them. Leave a comment with any you come up with!

There is a $1.50/1 PDF coupon for the Fresh Express Artisanal Salads that I downloaded recently. I don’t know WHERE I got it, but I know it was on a coupon blog! I’ll try to hunt it down for ya! Of course, I don’t know if that is included in the sale.
As always this is all very helpful to me-the original post and the responses, I get so many great tips & info! My question is-I am surprised I could print a coupon off a PDF (although thrilled as I can’t download the coupon printer), I thought it required something special to print the barcode? Does anyone know? Just want to verify that the coupon works before I try it. Thanks.
Also can you print off as many as you want? I just did my second one.
I’ve used pdf coupons with no problems before. However, I did just run by my Safeway and this variety is not included in the sale. I’m still going to try it, though. I suppose your mileage may vary!
Thanks-I would be interested to hear what happens when you try it.
yes i would be interested in knowing if it works for anyone.
Funny, there isn’t a reply option under the last entry in this group, so I will try it here & see if anyone sees it.
My store didn’t even have this variety, so couldn’t try.
It did work, but the cashier had to push it through. I didn’t say a WORD while he was doing it, because I wasn’t even sure it was going to be accepted, and it was no big deal if it wasn’t. However, it did work!
Here it is. Don’t know if this kind is included, but it’s worth a shot!

If Barilla Plus is included there’s a $1.00 off 2 in the Healthy Heart booklet
Where do you get the Healthy Heart booklets?
They were in store by the ads about a week ago, some people said they found them in the beauty section.
Thanks. I will take a look and see if they still have any.
This type isn’t included in the sale-but maybe in the future. I think I saw the books in the cereal aisle today-red cover.
thanks for the pdf!
The Portland paper didn’t get the Fresh Express Qs, I was searching all over for them yesterday until I realized that.
my ad says BC fruit snacks $2 and $1 ea in quantities of five. Am I missing something or is 5 boxes at $2 each equals $10 minus $5 instant savings minus coupons you listed equals $2.50 oop, get a $3.50 catalina….
also you can mix and match this sale, right?
Good catch! I fixed the post. And yes, it’s mix and match. I’m working on some scenarios that have variety!
the BC fruit snack coupons are DND (at least mine are), which would make it $3.50 with $3.50 cat
The ones in 3/7 smart source can be doubled. And there are printables at Target.com that DO NOT have the Target logo and DO NOT say “Do Not Double.”
I just checked Target’s site and that coupon isn’t on there anymore! Bummer!
That is a VG deal on Classico. I had no problems wtih printing multiple coupons from their site; just had to put my name & email address in each time. (you can opt-out of mailings)
Hey! Do you know if there is a catalina deal on the general mills cereal too, or is it just post cereal?
Hey Sarah,
I went today and got a 2.50 cat on General Mills. I bought seven boxes so I am not sure how many you need to buy.
I just bought 5 and only got a $2/5 coupon.
Betty crocker cookie mix is on sale 1.69 and frosting regular at 1.99 .. If you have coupons loaded on your card from cellfire & shorcuts, it’s a money maker ..
I have four 0.40/1 for the cookiew mix (2 @ cellfire & 2 @ shortcuts)
one 0.50/1 frosting
one $1/2 wyb one frosting & one cookie mix
Pair them with paper coupons 0.4/1 and 0.5/1 and doubles
about 1.22 overage
tell us if it works and takes off all the ecoupons!
i went today and bought bc fruit snacks and nv nut clusters and hn cheerios and mulitple ecoupons for each item came off for me. hope this helps!
Was there a catalina for nature valley products?
no catalina that i’m aware of. in the past a 40 cent nv granola bar ecoupon would come off when i bought nut clusters but it didnt this time. all other ecoupons came off including multiples.
I went today and multiple e-coupons were taken off cookie mix (four 0.40/1), frosting (0.50 and 1/2 wyb frosting and cookie mix) and fruit snacks (three 0.50/2).
The only thing it seems they fixed is the 0.40/1 NV bars that used to be decucted wyb the Nut clusters.
I also didn’t get my 2.50 catalina though I purchased four fruit snacks .. is the catalina working in Safeway? I’m going to call catalina anyway.
I got the catalina this morning on the Betty Crocker fruit snacks (is labeled general mills catalina)-you didn’t get kelloggs brand did you-they were also on the sale?
In my last few transaction at Safeway I have found that more than one ecoupon will not be taken off of the price on one product purchased, like they used to. It used to be that I would get all three BC frosting ecoupons, for example, off the purchase of 1 can of frosting, but as of a couple weeks ago, that’s not happening – now its one ecoupon per item.
If anyone is planning on trying for multiple ecoupons for overage, watch out for that.
I had an extra nature valley clusters ecoupon that came off today for me (I bought 2 & all 3 that I had on there came off).
My Marie’s Dressing coupons are $1/1 YOGURT dressing, not the regular.
I really wanted some dressing! But .99 for Marie’s isn’t bad a suppose…
there are one’s for any $1
My ad says Barilla pasta is $.88 selected varieties? But my Heart Health booklet is save $.50 on 2 Hunts diced tomatoes. I shop in Milwaukie so I’m not sure why the difference.
Check the front inside cover for the Barilla coupon.
I was told today by my Safeway manger that they were no longer doubling internet coupons. I do not know if that it across the board or not but I thought I would let you know!
The Safeway in Gladstone will not double my internet coupons (even when they do not say “do not double”) but the Sunnyside and Damascus Safeway will double my internet coupons. I only shop at the Gladstone Safeway when I don’t have any internet printables or my internet printables say “do not double”
Kimberly/Krista – I too shop at Gladstone Safeway and I have never noticed them not doubling my IP’s. I tend to not do coupon shopping during the day when their lead cashier is there because I think he is really on top of his job. That being said, I have never done a difficult transaction with him, and there is nothing wrong with him knowing how to do his job
The Longview store does not double internet coupons either. I asked the Supervisor about it & he said Safeway cannot double internet printables.
Kimberly which Sfwy?
Gladstone, OR
Kimberly…if you look on Safeway.com there is actually an internet coupon policy (I think from 2008) that states they will not double internet coupons…so technically, they really shouldn’t be. BUT, I have noticed several cashiers that do…so I’m not sure if it just varies from store to store depending on how much the manager enforces it, or maybe a lack of knowledge on the cashier’s part? I have three Safeways where I live and it isn’t consistent and ANY of the stores.
Dsperin….There is a coupon from 1/3 SS that is for the type of Marie’s dress that is on sale. Also, you can get two more from registering here: http://www.maries.com/culinary-corner-signup.aspx
I went in today and ALL of my ecoupons for my Nut Clusters came off (there were 4)..plus I used 5 of the $1/1 MQ from various sites…it gave me overage that went towards other things. It’s weird how it is different from SW to SW.
I read through that and I didn’t see anything re: doubling of printable coupons. Maybe I missed it?
http://www.safeway.com/IFL/Grocery/Coupons-Policy
I robbed Safeway this afternoon!! Retail $111.74, Paid $8.37 and got back a $4 catalina. I actually got some produce and the Mix and Match cheese deal is still going on through Saturday, so got a few more of those. All my ecoupons came off in duplicates too, so that is still happening, at least at the store I went to.
me too! i actually got 15 cents back, which i didnt know they would do but i underestimated my ecoupons. i got 4 fruit snacks, 2 lucky charms, 3 nut clusters, 1 honey nut cheerios, used mc coupons (no doubles in my area), e coupons, and a $4 cat and got a $2.50 cat back! woo-hoo! the cashier was so confused. i figure if i’m going to buy junkfood – its good to get paid to do so instead of the other way around!
There is also a blinkie by the milk for $2.00 off Honey Bunches of Oats (says get it free… up to $2.00) if you buy milk. Unless you need 5 milks, you could mix and match this with this promo and get free Honey Bunches of Oats, a couple other of the listed Post ones with the $1/2 coupons or there is supposedly (I haven’t looked at the NW Vancouver Safeway) $0.70 blinkies for Post at Safeway. This could turn the Post cereals into good money makers.
is this a new blinkie coupon for milk/HBofO, the one I got 2 weeks back expired 3/7.
I bought the granola bars and normally would get all the e-coupons for one item. Unfortunately only one came off this time. Maybe they have fixed that loophole
I also found Dial hand soap on clearance at my safeway for .97. With the recent $1 off printable, FREE. There were blinkies in front of the Corn Pops for .70/1. Makes that Kelloggs deal today even better if you don’t have enough $1/2 coupons.
I tried using 5 coupons on 5 bags of honey nut clusters and was told that was no longer allowed according to district policy.
Ex-squeeze me??? You can’t use one coupon on one item? Isn’t that just standard couponing? Sounds like you had a silly store.
Yeah I thought it was standard couponing. I tried explaining doubling would be doubling the price of the coupon or if I tried using 2 coupons for 1 item. The supervisor supposedly went and called someone higher up and then came back and said it was a district wide policy. Personally I think she didn’t talk to anyone and just made something up.
Yes, I would avoid that cashier. I bought 2 today & used 2 paper coupons and had 3 ecoupons, so got overage. but it evened out, because they shorted me $1 on my fruit snack catalina, because one didn’t get rung up, so I called it even. I had to talk to them about the $5 though-because then I was short one item and missed out, and they fixed it for me.
My store told me that it is new corporate policy to only take one printable coupon of each kind at a time, it doesn’t matter if you have them matched up 1 to 1. They said that corporate was there yesterday talking about it.
They did the same thing to me about a month ago. The nut clusters were 1.50 when you bought 4. I bought 4 and had 4 1.00 off coupons. Said they can only take one, but she would let me use 2 (basically let me know she was being nice). She said that is the policy since you can usually only print out 2 coupons per computer. I explained to her that often times the same coupon is on multiple sites, especially if it is a new item. Messed up my transaction a bit. It was one of the managers too. Sherwood, OR store.
I must be blind – I cannot find the Hunt’s diced tomato coupons in the 1/24 SS. Maybe we need to know where these people are from that are posting so we know if we are living in the right part of the states or not! I get discouraged when I think “Oh, goodie, I have three of those papers” and then I can’t find the coupon at all. So sad!
Sometimes it depends on which paper you buy. My mom gives me her inserts from the Statesman Journal and they don’t have as many coupons as the Oregonian, so I usually buy 2 Oregonians a week too!
I didn’t have it either
I buy the Oregonian, and I didn’t have it either.
Can anyone explain the cat deal for this? The only signs I saw last night for the fruit snacks were on the bigger count boxes. Thanks.
I noticed that today too when I shopped, which made me nervous buying the smaller boxes. But was a much better buy for the 5/$5 sale, so I tried it and it worked for the catalina. You get $1.50/3, $2.50/4, $3.50/5. Make sure it is the betty crocker brand (your catalina will be called general mills) not the kellogg’s ones which are also on the sale.
There was a confusion today when I needed to talk to customer service (the problem ended up being one of my fruit snacks didn’t get rung up, so I missed out on one $5). But before we noticed that they said they got a memo that the $5/5 sale, has to be 5 items in each category (I couldn’t figure out if she meant a category like cereal, or a price-like the $2 group), but I pointed out to her it clearly says mix & match (even the fine print says nothing, except to buy in a single transaction). They were nice & gave me a store credit, but I don’t think she was correct, but she still thought she was. Just in case anyone else hears this, apparently there was some type of memo sent out in Safeway.
Also noted there are many more cereals included in this sale-a few I remember Wheaties, Life, chocolate cheerios, Reese’s puffs, other types of raison bran (I think all of them), some of the sugary Kellogg’s (now I wished I had gone before the Kellogg’s catalina ended), and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
Also all the Nature Valley varieties.
The hamburger helper Catalina was a disappointment, it was money off a purchase of hamburger (which I don’t really use) and you have to buy 2 more boxes. I remember someone else said this is what they got. Did anyone actually get a store Catalina? If I have time later, I think I’ll call the catalina number and ask.
I did the BC Fruit Snack deal today. I bought five boxes of fruit rolls, and I also bought two boxes of Barilla Piccolini pasta (used 2 .75/1 coupons) because I didn’t want two doubles to go to waste. With the coupons, doubles and my ecoupons it was $1.26 oop! For some reason my Cat didn’t print, but the customer service gave me back $3.50 cash, so they paid me $2.24 to shop there today!
Thanks so much for all your work in getting these deal together for us.
I bought 1 package of NV nut clusters, 2 $1 off ecoupons came off (Shortcuts & Cellfire) and I used a $1 off coupon…so I made some $$$, it fixes my mistake on the BC Snacks…I always buy the fruit snacks and not gushers, by the foot etc, and haven’t had a problem using the paper coupons…but I bet that’s why the ecoupons didn’t come off. My safeway in Renton WA didn’t have the yogurt dressing…but I still made out!
I see most posts saying there’s a $1/2 Barilla pasta coupon but I only see a $.75/1. My inserts are from the Oregonian.
