Questions about how eCoupons work? Check out the eCoupon FAQ page.
Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to $.50 each. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page.
We are proud to be apart of The Grocery Gathering over at BeCentsAble, posting for Safeway in Oregon & SW Washington.

What does (NLA) mean? Thanks so much
no longer available
Oh! Ok thanks for letting me know.
I just got back from Safeway to get the bacon. Apparently there is a policy about Iternet Printables and them not being about to be more than 1/2 off the item. Anyway, I was able to use the coupon, but he would not let me use the double. I emailed Safeway about this and asked for a response. When I find out I’ll let you know.
If any of you DO KNOW, please respond!
It’s this issue that stopped me from shopping at Safeway. It IS their policy to not accept IP’s for 1/2 or more off a product and any “free” coupons (BOGO, etc.), BUT they give each store manager the “option” of accepting such coupons. Unfortunately, I do believe that corporate never informed the managers that it was up to them, because I was denied in a most humiliating way a while back.
http://bit.ly/a5t5WI Check this post out. If you send me an email I can forward it to you
coupon connections nw @ gmail dot com
The IP is supposed to be 1/2 the value of the RETAIL price not sale
Amber, thanks for sending me that email. I’m wondering if the campbells deal will work without the doubles. Final price will still only be .50.
The only response I got so far was. . . thank you for your complaint, we have forwarded it to the store. Great! I WAS NOT complaining!
That’s all I want is a target on my back every time I walk in the store.
My Safeway has turned me down on IP’s for more than half the price. Not sure WHY they have this policy, but the Safeway in Aloha does enforce it.
Stay away from that safeway!! They are very rude and don’t take most coupons. It is worth it to drive to one of the others, they both take all coupons.
Where is the $30 for transferring an RX found? In Tuesday’s paper somewhere?
Yes, in the Safeway ad that just came out.
Someone called (saw recently in a blog… which blog… I’m not able to remember) and they found out that it was 1/2 off the REGULAR price. So if something is on sale and you have a coupon for more than 1/2 off, they should honor it as long as it’s not more than 1/2 the regular price. I’ll be interested if this is what you find out from your email or if different stores have different policies.
I recently went to Safeway and the OM Bacon was on sale with in ad coupon for 3.49 – not 2.49. My IP they did accept, but wouldn’t accept the Safeway doubler, because they said their policy has now been changed, no longer allowing doublers for IP Mf coupons. I even called the manager over to double check. I guess they started this 2-3 months ago. They do double newspaper mf coupons, but not IP coupons.
The bacon is $2.49 with the Safeway coupon from the ad in the Sunday paper.
They have been telling me that for the last few months, but still depends on what store you go to, and what cashier you go to. (unfortunately) the manager at my local store WILL NOT double IP coupons. Absolutely will not!
I found Manu coupons for C& W vegies 1/2 at the Albertsons store. They can be used at Safeway (maybe the Frozen food deal).
My local Safeway has a u check system. I have found that if I scan my food and then the coupons and THEN my Safeway card I don’t have problems with beeping etc. I am so tired of fighting over coupons with the checkers that I just scan them myself. Plus I get to see if the ecoupons came off and I don’t have to hear how the coupons cannot be accepted because they are more than 50% off. Just an FYI.
I loooooveee self check out at Safeway!!
which Safeway has self check??
is the del monte coupon regional, i am in northern idaho/washington??
Which safeways have self check?
FYI, I was just given the run-around at my local Safeway about not using 2 $10 off coupons on the same order (one from the food day and the frozen catalina). The cashier said it was “store policy.” I asked to see where it was written and she couldn’t tell me (it’s not on either of the coupons) and when she called the person in charge, they quickly agreed that I could use both. So if you get put in that situation, be sure to ask about it before accepting whatever the cashier says.
Stefanie! don’t you just love it when they make up things on the fly
The other day when i went to use my cat…they said I couldn’t use it on Milk! I have never heard of that… has anyone else?
Yeah, you’re not supposed to use any type of coupon on fluid milk products. I have no clue why, but I have my conspiracy theories.
In my experience, they’ve just started enforcing this exclusion. Same situation with Register Rewards at Walgreens. No fluid milk. But yogurt, cheese, other dairy are fine.
Anybody know where the BOGO coupon for the Mac Shells and Cheese is found? Thank you for your help.
Good eye! I just linked the coupon.
I bought 4 of the Velveeta Cups tonight and no CAT printed. Did the CAT print for anybody else? Also they were $1 at my Safeway and not 80 cents…
Am I blind, I dont see the Del Monte in-ad coupon?
Sunday Ad.
how strange that you can get a “free milk” cat during cereal deals if your “no coupon on fluid milk” in an unknown rule… hmmm.
oh- betty crocker- warm delights: FREE/money-maker
on sale: $2.19
- .75 mfr coupon
- 1.00 e-coupon (short-cuts and cellfire)
-1.00 e-coupon
-.50 e-coupon
-.50 e-coupon
= $1.56 money-maker (add $.50 to that if you use a double!!)
I only got one- but I think it was definitely my “just-desserts” for all this couponing!
yum. enjoy.
Might possibly be a story to talk about today!
Maybe it would a good thing to talk about not abusing policies today or over buying so the next gal or guy can not have a deal as well.
Example: Watched a gal at ToysRUs yesterday load up her cart with the my little pony bogo deal and left little to nothing for everyone else.
Here is the story that just ran on fox 12
Woman Accused Of Fake Coupon Scheme
PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland police are building a case against a woman accused of using fake coupons to rack up thousands of dollars in stolen items.
Officers arrested Nancy Yun late Friday night on suspicion of stealing a vacuum cleaner, but police said the incident was only a portion of the crimes she is alleged to have committed.
Officer Barbara Glass said Yun printed hundreds of fake coupons for stores such as Kohl’s and Safeway. Yun then used the coupons when purchasing items and sometimes returned the items to get gift cards, police said.
So far, officers have seized numerous items, such as batteries, hair products and over-the-counter medicine, that they said were purchased with the coupons.
Glass said that the more she digs into the case, the more it unravels.
“This is new for me. I don’t think I’ve seen something this sophisticated as far as fraud,” Glass said. “She was exceptionally organized.”
No one was available for comment at Yun’s home Wednesday. Investigators said they suspect Yun may have been putting the scheme into practice for months or even years.
“People who do things like this don’t just hurt the stores, they hurt everybody,” Glass said.
Investigators said Yun will likely face more charges as they sift through mounds of evidence. Police they also hope other businesses will come forward if they believe they’ve been targeted by the suspect.
It’s amazing how easy it is to break the law. . . it takes a lot of integrity to coupon correctly. Give yourself a pat on the back for keeping the rules. . . . or better yet, go treat yourself to some of that ice cream in your freezer you bought for next to nothing!
