Safeway: Finish Dishwashing Tablets just $.07 per load

by Angela on January 6, 2013

Here’s a very good deal on dishwashing detergent at Safeway (through 1/8):

Finish Tablets (60 ct) on sale $6.99 when you buy 2
Buy 2
Use (2) $2.15/1 coupons from 1/6 SS insert
Use 2 Safeway doubles (-$1)
$4.34 each after coupons & doubles (just $.07 per load)

Anything under $.10 per load is a very good deal.

Safeway doubles most manufacturer’s coupons to to $.50 each in Oregon and SW Washington. Find more Safeway deals here.

Thanks, Susan!

But Rite Aid has the tabs for BOGO free. Different types of tabs were different prices.

How does this price compare to Costco?

I can’t remember the exact price for the tabs at costco but I know it was over .10 a load. This is definitely a better deal :)

I was at Costco today. It was $12.29 or $12.49 for 100.

I think the gelpacs at Rite Aid were $8.xx (!) for a pack of 35. With the B1G1 they would be $4.xx each. I don’t think Rite Aid will let you use 2 $2.15/1 coupons since one of the items is free, making each about 8.3 cents. If my memory serves me ;)

Rite aid ends up being about the same. If u buy 4 of the 32 ct at 7.99 minus $2.15×2 you get a $3 up rewards and it ends up being about 6.5 cents per tab.

The benefit of buying them at Rite-Aid would be if it counts towards the $20 cat you get for $100 spent on specific items thru Jan 26th. I don’t have my ad on me.. but it’s worth a look!

It had it count on the quantum packs for me.

Oregonians: It would be even sweeter if you used the 10 off 50 coupon from last weeks food day.

How do I find Safeway doubles?

If you don’t find them (in the weekly ad) by the front entrance, ask at Customer Service :)

Safeway Doubles are in their Tuesday ad. It’s one coupon that you can double up to 4 coupons with. Maximum $.50 each.

I was thinking this would be better, which it is by a smidge, especially where I am at, since Safeway doesn’t double. However, Rite Aid’s is about the same with only using one coupon… allowing us to save the second coupon for a later deal! So, it may not be worth having to use two coupons at Safeway to get an almost as good deal at Rite Aid by using just one coupon. Just an idea :)

Unless you are partial to Finish, try the Sun dishwasher detergent at Winco. It costs about $2.50 for 65 oz. I don’t know how many loads that is, but it lasts for a long time, and I do a load a day. Probably well under a nickel a load.

At rite aid, there’s an UP reward on the electrasol. You get $3Up wyb $15, limit 2, making them better than Safeway :)

Just an FYI the Safeway on 137th & Mill Plain as well as the one on Fourth Plain and 162nd are both out of the 60 ct. gelpacs.

I used this at Rite-Aid. Was 7.99 for 2 if the quantum tabs. 25 count. I used 2 coupons. Ended up paying 3.69. Which is $.07 a load. I would have done better, but they were out of the gel packs and the powerball ones.

Those Finish Quantums are not a good deal. When you open the package lots of them leak out the grain stuff, what good is that when you want to use them. Cascade is better call their customer service line, they may give you a coupon for a free container, they go up to 80 count in a nice contatiner at Target. If you can’t get the free coupon, then they will send you a $3.00 coupon it is only $3.99 for 20 with the dawn in the tab, 99 cents plus tax for 20 good tabs and you can call again and again, .99 cents for 20 is cheaper than your 2.15 doubled, plus rite aid never has any product when I have visited their store only a few carry what is on sale..Finish when it leaks from the tablets is no good..try Cascade and call p&g for a free coupon or a $3.00 off coupon, sometimes safeway has 26 on sale for $3.99 making it only .49 cents plus tax for 26 of their tablets with the dawn it works for me..just a suggestion!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Target always carries the Cascade dawn tabs, sometimes they go on a really good deal, with that $3.00 coupon you will not be buying Quantum Finish product..They are too expensive and when you open that pkg to find the product leaking you won’t be happy at all, it is dishwasher detergent after all, if you use your dishwasher a lot you should watch the per tab costs, really 26 tabs at safeway for $3.99 of Cascade using the $3.00 coupon doubling it, it is a lot cheaper than that Finish which leaks, I called their company and got my money back never used it again, too much error in the pkgs to take a chance. Plus dishwasher detergent doesn’t stay fresh for that long and dries out in a solid form!!!!!!!!!!!!
