I had the same issue that Shana did, the Safeway in Hillsdale and Sherwood had the cans at $3.02 each. I checked the ad and there was nothing saying they were on sale. Was this just in specific store?

I did use the coupon in Target, as they are $1.97/each there.

The safeway on King Street in Milwaukie. Marked 2/$3 on the bottom shelf.

I went to two different Safeway stores in the Portland area and neither had the shaving gel for $1.50. They had them for closer to $3.00 each. Which stores did you find it for $1.50?

Does anyone know if it would it have been $2 moneymaker if I used a doubler?

Well, since technically you weren’t supposed to get any money back in the first place (Safeway’s coupon policy only allows a coupon to be adjusted down to zero), I’d say (officially) no. However, since the cashier made the mistake of giving you overage, he or she might have also (mistakenly) doubled the coupon as well. I’d say you were lucky as it was…most Safeway cashiers would have adjusted the coupon down instead.

Sweet deal! I actually just went back to safeway and had the coupon doubled and was handed cash back!! I also only just read your reply. I’ll make sure I stay honest tho… and start by printing out coupon policies.

Couldn’t you price match this at walmart and turn it into a money maker?

These were $2.01 at Winco the other day, and they had a good supply, so I paid 6 cents for 6, actually zero because I brought my own bag.

I actually used all my 6/3 Q’s at Winco as well..
Used the 3/2 Q at Safeway to get 2 more cans free.

Good 4U. I guess I jumped the gun a bit; a reader suggested using the $3/2 cpns at RA for 2.5-oz trial size cans, so I got 4 for free. But one will come in handy when I fly to NY next week.

Where did you find the coupons? My Oregonian only had the $3/1 razors. Am I missing something? I’ve even looked at that section in my binder, and all I can find is .75/1. PLease let me know. It’s my hubbys fav. :) Thanks all.

At least in the Oregonian, there is a page with three Gillette cpns (in addition to the other one with the razors). $1/1, $3/2 and $6/3 on cartridge, razor, shave prep or skin, yada yada yada. Winco has the shaving creams for $2.01.
