Safeway: Great deals with eCoupons

by Brittany from Frugal Living NW on August 6, 2011

Klondike on sale $2.99
Use $2/1 Safeway eCoupon
$.99 each after coupon (would work great with the $5/$15 frozen food coupon from the ad)
Thanks Kelleigh!

Brawny or Sparkle Paper Towels on sale $5.99 with in-ad coupon
Use $2/1 Safeway eCoupon
$3.99 after coupons

While you are at the Safeway page you can load the majority of the MDA coupon book coupons and a $5/$15 Frozen Food coupon!  This should help anyone having trouble locating any of these!

Thanks Facebook Reader! (I can’t for the life of me find your name, but you know who you are!  Muchas Gracias!)

Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to $.50 each. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:

Right now the bryers blasts are 2.99, witht he e coupon= free ice cream, and I think it gave me a penny. My husband loves it when I get paid to buy ice cream

oh…for all those worried about ecoupons messing up the total, I gave the cashier the 5/15 coupon first then scanned my card. I’m not sure if that affected whether or not it worked. I just did it that way to play it safe.

So can I stack a manufacturers coupon with ecoupons loaded to my card????
And I don’t know why but when I log in it says Personalized Deals are not available for my card, same with just 4 u .. So I loaded the “digital coupons.”

I loaded the J4U coupon for Cottonelle on my Safeway card. I stacked two $.75 coupons for Cottonelle. We got 2 12-packs of the double roll cottonelle for a little more than $10, plus we got a $3.50 Catalina for our next Safeway purchase. So ultimately it was less than $7 for 24 double rolls.

The Sparkle paper towel deal works- $5.99 less $2 e-coupon made it $3.99

The frozen food deal works before e-coupons. I bought Klondike ($2.99), Starbucks ($2.99), Reese’s ($3.99) and Safeway ice cream sandwiches ($5.49, rang up incorrectly as $5.99) to hit a $15 total and the $5/$15 e-coupon also came off.

Deal not desk. Way to early and no coffee.

Stacy August 7, 2011 at 9:58 am

The old way with e coupons they deducted from your total first. Which would put the ice cream total under the $15 limit. With the new j4u e coupons it looks like that is not case anymore. I was worried about trying out the ice cream desk with the e coupons

My $5/15 didn’t come off for some reason even though I spent $16 and change. When I pointed it out, the cashier manually put it through. I bought Dino nuggets 9.99, Klondike bars 2.99 (minus $2 eCoupon), and 2 Safeway waffles $2/4. I was kind’ve thinking the ecoupon came off first which put the total under $15.

Jess August 8, 2011 at 2:16 pm

The coupon excluded frozen meat products. I bet the Dino Nuggets did it?!

Tracey August 7, 2011 at 8:02 am

the klondike ecoupon appears to be gone already

Wanda August 7, 2011 at 1:40 am

Posted this under the Magnum deal earlier, but since we’re getting another awesome $5/$15 Frozen food coupon tomorrow, it will fit nicely under this post as well.

I thought I would share my ice cream deal today at Safeway. Couldn’t let that $5/$15 coupon go to waste and of course they were out of magnum bars…So I thought I’d try a variety of other stuff!!

Reeses ice cream bars 6pk 3.99
Klondike Mint Chocolate Chip 6pk 2.99
Breyer’s Orea Blast Mint Chocolate Chip 1/2 gal. 5.99
Skinny Cow Caramel Truffle Ice Cream Bars 6pk 4.49
Subtotal: $17.46

j4u ecoupon 2.00/1 Reeses Ice ceam
j4u ecoupon 2.00/1 Klondike novelty
j4u ecoupon 3.00/1 Breyer’s Blast
j4u ecoupon Skinny Cow novelty for 3.49
Safeway $5/$15 Frozen Food

Total after coupons: $4.46 for all that ice creamy goodness… I’d say I made out okay!

Of Course, that skinny cow ecoupon will be no good (exp. 8/6) so you’d have to add another dollar to your total unless you have a manufacturer’s coupon you could throw in there (I know there are some out there…I just don’t have any!)

Great Job! A wonderful cheap treat for your family. Perfect for summer! :)

gina August 11, 2011 at 9:32 pm

Wanda what county are you in?

JJ August 7, 2011 at 12:11 am

But the Sparkle would work right? The e-coupon said 6 MEGA roll on Sparkle

Stacy August 6, 2011 at 10:36 pm

Shoot, looks like the Brawny deal won’t work :(

Rachel g August 6, 2011 at 10:32 pm

I thought the $2 e coupon on the brawny was for the 12pk and the in ad coupon is for the 6 pk?

Calder August 6, 2011 at 10:30 pm

Please check …
The paper coupon says Brawny or Sparkle Paper Towels 6-Roll Towels (the Cottonelle Bath Tissue is 12-Roll Tissue)

Whereas …

The e-coupon is for 12-Roll Towels.

SAVE $2.00
