by Angela on February 24, 2010

Safeway is looking good this week! Look in the dairy section at your local Safeway for a blinkie coupon: “Buy gallon of milk, Get $2 off HBO cereal.”

Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal on sale $2
Buy gallon of milk + HBO cereal
Use $2/1 blinkie coupon
Pay for the gallon of milk = FREE cereal

To make it even better, starting 2/26 there’s a Honey Bunches of Oats catalina promotion:

{Buy any 4 Post Cereals, Get $3 Catalina}
{Buy any 5+ Post Cereals, Get $4 Catalina}

Here’s a HOT deal that will start working on Friday, 2/26:

Buy 4 HBO = $8
Buy 4 gallons of milk
Use (4)  $2/1 blinkies
Pay for milk, Get $3 Catalina

This catalina will roll to a second transaction.

Thanks, KCL & Frugal Chic Living!

This is great! Honey Bunches of Oats is my husband’s favorite cereal, and we go through 2 gallons of milk a week so we could use the milk too!

Found the blinkie machines at the Safeway on Millplain (& 136th?) in Vancouver tonight.

Wow this is good news as one of my son’s loves this cereal. I was just about to sit down and see if there were any coupons I missed when I saw your post. At my local Safeway the HBO cereal is 2/$3. Will check for the milk coupon tomorrow when I go back for the P&G stuff that is on sale.

Also, as a side note don’t forget about the 2 free gallons of milk at Fred Meyer when you buy 4 participating Kelloggs products. There is a CAT deal on the cereal too. If you Buy 3 get 1.00. Buy 4 get $3.00. Buy 5 or more get $4.00. Good on next purchase. We go thru lots of milk here too.

We don’t use that much milk but I have put milk in the freezer before and it’s totally fine! Just let it thaw completely and shake it up.

Catherine , yeah – I just did the FM deal today – I got 2 boxes of cereal, 2 boxes of crackers and 2 gallons of milk all for $6! *[I applied $4 in coupons on Kellogg's and Keebler items.] This if off subject, but Target’s got some really great clearance deals right now:

Target has put there warehouse sized products (think Costco) on sale – these are now at 30-50% off or more. I particularly liked the 20-pak Dial soap (paid 3.84) and the 30-pak Quaker Instant Oatmeal ($2.48) after $1 Manufacturer’s coupon.

Also at Target, look in the crayola marker section of the store for this awesome 75% clearanced item: Crayola Pip-Squeaks Deluxe Color Set – it retails for $9.99 but is now marked at just 2.48!!! It included markers, color-changing markers, washable glitter gel, colored pencils, a cool pencil sharpener and a special tote. I picked one up for my daughter today and she loves it. There were still tons of these left at the Beaverton-Hillsdale store.

This is TOT, but if any of you live by a New Seasons, they’re having amazing sales this week, I guess it’s their birthday or whatever, but they’re rolling their prices on some items back to the prices they had in the year 2000. Some highlights: .99 organic broccoli/cauliflower/fuji apples, .59 lb organic oranges. Kettle Chips $1 (the baked aren’t included but there are coupons for $1/2 making them. 50 each), Muir Glen tomatoes $1 (printables $1/1 make these free), Muir Glen pasta sauce $1.99 (there are peelies right on them $1/2, so $1.49 each, I had a few $1/1 coupons from somewhere making them .99, not sure where I found them), organic french baguette from the bakery .99! These freeze fabulous and I SO don’t bake, so I bought 5 of these. Anyway, check it out! Sorry for the brief hijack of your blog Angela. : )

Kelly, How do you prepare the baguett for freezing? And do you thaw in the fridge or on the counter? I love New Seasons! Will have to check them out this week.

Rebecca, thanks for the tip on Target. I will plan a shopping trip there too. Right after Safeway.

Is this good for any post cereal? Has anyone seen catalina details by the cereal in the store to let you know?
