by Angela on March 1, 2010

The next time you’re at Safeway, be sure to look around for a new Heart Healthy coupon book. Try the canned soup aisle. You will need the coupons from this booklet for this deal on Smart Ones. Thanks to $aving with Cindy for emailing me this deal!

Hi,
Will using all 3 of these coupons on 10 really work? I’m imagining them telling me how I can’t use the $3 off 10 because 2 of those items (free ones) I already used a coupon to get. Any thoughts?

I was thinking the same thing. If you’re worried, you can buy two additional meals for a total of 12.

It worked for me, just got back from Safeway.

I did it twice last night before I posted just to be sure and it worked great! I also found some $4/10 peelies on a few of the meals so you could look for those too.

they wouldn’t let me use the 4/10…. =( but it still was a good deal getting the two free, the 10 cat, and all. maybe it was my checker

I tried this deal today and the Safeway in McMinnville didn’t print out the catalina. :( I am going to give it a try at another store and see what happens. The deal runs all month long, right?

I don’t see Smart Ones in my 3 day flyer. I wonder if it is regional to our NW Area? I will check at the store before I purchase.

There are more participating products tagged in the store than listed in the ad. I should have explained that in the post. Thanks for the question!

Is there a list of participating products somewhere?

I just did the deal twice at 2 different Safeway’s. All coupons worked fine. She questioned the $2 off 4 but I told her it was a store coupon and it went through with no beeps. At the first store she took off the regular price of $2.99 for each free item. But then at the 2nd store one of my items rang up as $3.19. I didn’t notice until I checked my receipt later. So be sure you buy only the meals marked $2.50 and not any other price.
Also, I could not find the Healthy Heart coupons at either store I went to, but I asked at the 2nd store and it turned out they had been accidentally pulled from the shelves. But they found then and she gave me 4 of them!

Smart ones are on sale at Albertsons for $1.99 this week (today is the last day). And when you buy 10, you get a $10 catalina. I found peelies for $4/10 on the tuna noodle kind. Pair up with the other coupons, or their doubles and you get a great deal.

Why won’t the 2.29 ones work? Couldn’t you just buy more to get to $25? The vegetarian ones are all 2.29, which are the ones I want. Thank you.
