by Brittany from Frugal Living NW on August 5, 2011

I think this stuff looks gross. There has got to be somebody out there who disagrees with me so here is the deal:

Texas Toast on sale $2.50
Buy 6
Use (6) $1/1 coupons from 7/24 SS insert
Use (4) Safeway doubles (-$2)
Use $5/$15 Frozen Food coupon from weekly ad
$.33 each after coupons & doubles

Thanks CouponConnectionsNW!

Here are some more Safeway deals this week.

New to couponing? Check out the Ultimate Guide to Couponing here.

Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to $.50 each. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:

Cindy – If you want a “clean label” product, we offer Ciabatta Garlic Rolls and a Ciabatta Loaf that both have no preservatives! To make our Texas Toast, we bake up bread, cut it after it cools, and add a garlic oil with some herbs. If you’re out West we also offer Mamma Bella garlic bread, made with real butter and fresh garlic – just like your recipe!

Mcminnville store had these for 1.99 and I bought 8 boxes for .92.
Used 8 $1/1 texas toast coupons (-$8)
Used $5/$15frozen food coupon(-$5)
4 doubles (-$2)

Awesome deal. Almost forgot about today being the last day for the frozen food coupon.

1 loaf french bread, some real butter, and some garlic, and you have yummy garlic bread. I have a feeling there are many more unpronounceable ingredients in Texas Toast…

My kids love this stuff. They normally don’t like to eat pasta but if I add this to the meal they are excited and eat it all. So I’m very excited about this deal. I got 6 of them today. Thank you for this post! I normally pay over $2 bucks normally for these!

It’s made my the “new york” brand but it’s “texas toast” because it’s a large thick slice of bread, and it’s delicious :) as a Texas resident it’s the only kind of garlic bread we buy!!! but you can also get almost this good of a deal at Winco, last I looked the garlic bread was 1.67? and you don’t need a double.

Laurie August 5, 2011 at 10:27 pm

I’m just wondering why it says “New York” if it’s “Texas Toast”?

shannon August 5, 2011 at 10:03 pm

It is so good! It’s just garlic bread. If you like garlic bread, you’ll love this.

Lol! I totally agree with you. This looks like an awesome deal on a food I would never ever want near me! But to each his own. :) :) :)
