Hey.. I think the reward program is great. basically most of the sales are free items with cash back which is RR.. you can use them for any thing in the store except tobacco and alcohol. The only trick with the RR is never use one on the same product. Like you can buy the toothpaste and use it on any other item and still get a reward back, but you cannot use it on another toothpaste because you will not receive one back.. A lot of people don’t realize the a lot of these items are really free in a sense cause the RR you get back can be used on other sale items in which you would spend cash on anyway. Its a great program I think. As for the point system, there are specially marked items in stores that give the points so you just have to look for them. I got enough points in one month to take off 150.00 dollars off my total, so it does work it just takes time to look an see what items are on special with them and they do add up. :)

deals* i meant!

There is a $1/1 crest coupon in the P&G insert which makes the Crest3d white toothpaste a $1MM as well

almost half of the deaks u have listed are actually MM….such as the revlon lipgloss/lipstick….there is a $1/1 revlon qpon in the walmart insert from 10/2 and also $1/1 Revlon cosmetic item in the walgreens “make this season stunning” booklet…making it a $1 MM :)

a bunch of the other deals have coupons that make them MM as well (some up to $2MM!) Check out KrazyCouponLady.com for all the matchups!

Any hints on rolling those rewards. I know that you can’t roll rewards from the same item because the second register reward won’t print out. How about from the same company? If I was buying another Proctor and Gamble, for instance, and was using a register reward from a different Proctor and Gamble item, would the next reward print? I know that this is hard to explain because it was hard to put it into a question too. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

In my experience, it has been a crapshoot. If you want to guarantee that you’ll get the RRs to roll, don’t try to roll one into the same family of products (P&G, for instance). But read what is printed on the RR – if it says P&G, it likely wouldn’t roll into another P&G item. If it says specifically Gillette, then it very well could roll into another P&G brand item. Does that make sense?

do we know what time they open on Black Friday, seems to be worth making some time to stop in.

When I got my sneak peek ad here in Portland, all I could get to was their holiday ad with all the toys. Of course, I am interested in all the health and beauty stuff that we can get for free. So, are you saying that the national ad is the same as the Portland ad???

I just got the sneak peek email from walgreens, and it looks like Portland is getting the same RR as everywhere else! I am in North Portland and the ad I got using my zip has all the same rewards listed above.

Yes! I got my sneak peek email too! I was looking at my email early this morning and yelled in delight. My kids come running into the room to see what was wrong, I told them and of course, they just rolled their eyes and left. Oh well, they’ll get it someday!

I was wondering how far out of Portland the bonus points extend? I’m spending the holiday at my in-laws in Kelso. I was wondering if Kelso does RR or bonus points? Thanks!!

Maybe if we all keep thinking positive they will be nice to us like they were last year :) If you all recall, we had the same RR deals as everyone else. Oh, I remember the days of RR….

Brenda November 19, 2011 at 5:38 am

Yes, that was what I was thinking. We did get the same deals as everyone else! However, I do think we are getting less and less RR deals as time goes on. I’m not even bothering to look at the list until I can see our ad. Hopefully, they will send out a sneak peak like they do for their weekly ads.

I’ve tried to get a letter, email, and phone call through to corprate, but it all goes to my local store. It’s not the points that get me in the door. It’s the RR. I always spend more than I planned on, so I know they’re making money from me. But, the fewer the RR, the less I shop there. It’s not worth the hassle of trying to get in and out of the plaza they’re in for me to get points. I already get them at every other store. Nothing very special about a points system. I think they should do both. IMHO

Are you planning to revise this list once you see the ad for this area? Thanks…

brittany November 19, 2011 at 8:59 am

Yes! I’m hoping as much as everyone else not to have to revise a thing.

I am so bummed. When I saw this list earlier, I didn’t read that this was from the national ad. I was preparing myself for some huge savings!!! After reading that, I feel very disappointed. I don’t think it’s fair. I sound like I’m 5 yrs old, but that is how I feel. I only shop at Walgreens maybe once a month because of the crappy point system, whereas I shop at Riteaid multiple times each week.

Ditto. Unhappy with the points. Cannot roll them like you do with RR.

I’m guessing we wont see a lot of the Walgreens RR or Walgreens gift cards but a whole lot of those next to worthless bonus points. I am very unhappy with the bonus points program, you really have to stack up a lot of point to use anything and personally I would rather have the RR to use for products my family needs now. I wish more people would write into them with their dissatisfaction with this program.

Carla November 18, 2011 at 12:23 pm

Finally. Deals to make me want to shop there again!

Are there limits on RR like there are on +Up rewards?

See the Walgreens Store Guide link at the bottom of the post. Let me know if you are still confused after that.
