Walmart: FREE All Laundry Detergent, cheap board games + Reach Floss moneymaker

by Angela on April 14, 2011

I just returned from my weekly Walmart deal hunting expedition and I found quite a few sweet deals. I usually post these on Mondays, but I just couldn’t sit on some of the deals all weekend!

First, here’s a picture of my full transaction:

$.78 for everything after coupons — do you see why I love Walmart? Tons of free stuff and only one transaction required!

Curious what coupons I used? Check out this week’s Walmart deal post.

Next, on to the new deals!

all Laundry Detergent (12 load; 50 oz) — $1
Use $1/1 coupon from 4/10 RP insert
FREE after coupon

This was not in the laundry detergent section — it was next to one of the registers. The bottles were a bit dusty, so I’m thinking they pulled them out of the warehouse, slapped on a low price to get rid of them. Your local store may or may not have the same deal.

I discovered that Walmart lowered the price of the Johnson & Johnson Reach Dental Floss from $.97 to $.88 at my store over the weekend to make it an even better deal.

Reach Dental Floss — $.88
Use $1/1 coupon from 10/10 RP insert (ex. 4/30) or here
FREE with $.12 overage after coupon

Next, on to the children’s board games.

There’s a new mail-in-rebate out at Walmart: Buy any one Hasbro game, Get a FREE Tombstome Pizza. You can submit up to 5 rebates per household; one rebate per form and envelope. This means you will have to get one form per game you purchase.

UPDATE: You can also print a FREE Tombstone pizza rebate here.

There were plenty of forms available in the game aisle. Here are some super cheap games to pair with the rebate:

Candy Land — $5
Use $2/1 coupon from 4/3 SS insert
Pay $3, Submit receipt for FREE Tombstone pizza rebate
$3 for Candy Land & pizza after coupon & rebate

Toy Story 3 Operation– $5
Use $3/1 coupon from 4/10 Play Saver insert or hereuse 60625 zip & sort by household
Pay $2, Submit receipt for FREE Tombstone pizza rebate
$2 for Operation & pizza after coupon & rebate

There were a moderate stock of games at the Wood Village Walmart Supercenter; I suspect they will sell out soon. I don’t suggest you make a special trip just for the games. But I do think you should grab the rebate forms while you are there in case the store restocks soon!

And one last game deal (Thanks, Coupon Connections!):

Connect 4 (travel size) – $5.24
Use $3/1 coupon from 4/10 Play Saver insert or hereuse 60625 zip & sort by household
$2.24 after coupon

Which Walmart were you at? I tried the Cornelius, OR location and they couldn’t find it for $1, are you in SE?

My Walmart (E. Vancouver on 192nd) wouldn’t accept the $3 off coupon for Toy Story 3 Operation. Coupon said, “good only for item shown.” She said that meant only for the Classic version of Operation whose picture was on the coupon (this was the supervisor.) I had to go back twice to get the game because of being sold out. I told her couponing sites said it would work, but no deal. I’m sure that’s why they were sold out. Grrrr!

Yep, Q says (on boththe 4/10 insert and the printable) good only for item shown, and it only shows the original Operation game…nuts.

All Buzz operation games gone at Wood Village. Went by this evening. The 24 pack of playdoh was $10, $7 with coupon. Not bad… just give your kiddos one at a time… :-)

I looked for the ALL at our walmart too, no luck…Is your walmart a Super Walmart? Also was it with all the other detergent or is it in a travel section or something???
