WinCo: Lowest Price Guarantee through Thanksgiving

by Kate from Frugal Living NW on November 16, 2011

Looks like WinCo is jumping into the Thanksgiving deal game.  They are two great promos to guarantee you get the best price on your Thanksgiving essentials.

Thanksgiving: Beat the Competition Price Matching:

From now through Thanksgiving, WinCo will beat the competition’s price on the following items:

  • Dozen Large Eggs
  • Libby Canned Pumpkin
  • Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce
  • Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese Block
  • Lindsay Large Pitted Olives
  • Whipping Cream
  • Private Label Brown and Powdered Sugar
  • Sara Lee Frozen Pumpkin Pies
  • Cool Whip Whipped Topping
  • Fresh Yams
  • Fresh Celery
  • Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider

Fine Print: “Price must be from a grocery chain, it must be in the trade area.  Prices will be reduced in accordance with state law. Products must be the same brand and/or quality.  WinCo Foods in-store brands will be used to match competitors’ in-store brands. Since we will be beating stores in each area, prices will vary as always.”

Guaranteed Lowest Turkey Price Promo:

  • WinCo will beat all grocery chain advertised price on U.S.D.A. Grade A Frozen turkeys with a $50 purchase. Cost of turkey may count toward the $50 qualifying price. Limit 1 per customer.
  • In order to ensure their prices are the lowest, Winco reps will be visiting to area competitors and checking out their turkey prices. If they find a competitor’s price is lower than theirs, Winco will then lower their price even further (subject to management discretion).

If you find a deal that Winco has to beat let us know and what area your WinCo is located.

Thanks, Happy Money Saver!

I spent more than $50, wow how things pile and got a Butterball for $.58 lb :)
Just to let you all know that if you wait until last minute or just like Foster Farms Young Fresh Turkey Costco has a better price on them $.89 lb on Andresen Location in Vancouver WA. I was at both places this morning, I think WinCo’s is $1.18 lb. Hope this helps some of you. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

I e-mailed Winco and asked for details to clarify all of this, and I was told that the $50 was BEFORE coupons! Yipee! I think I’m printing that e-mail out before I go… :-)

According to the Vancouver Brush Prairie Winco, the $50 does NOT include the price of the turkey this year, but I used enough coupons to bring my total back down to $50 — they were fine with that.

Does anyone know what type of turkey’s Winco carries? Seems like I got a Butterball last year from there. If so, there’s that $3 off Butterball with purchase of 4 listed products.

Typically Jenny-O and NorBest, but they could get other brands if they find a better deal somewhere.
