Target.com: FREE DVD’s (just pay shipping)

Target is having a sweet deal on DVDs right now: Buy 2 Select Sony DVDs, Save $10. You should be able to get two DVDs for just the price of shipping. The key is to find the Sony DVDs that are priced at $5. Here’s how to do the deal:

:: Go to Target and search for the movies you want. Unfortunately, Target doesn’t have a sweet linked list of participating DVDs, so you have to search the site yourself.

:: Add (2) $5 movies to your cart and checkout. You should get $10 off and just pay the price of shipping, which was $4.59 for me.

Here’s a list of some of the participating Sony movies (there may be more than this):

  • Resident Evil
  • Superbad
  • A League of their Own
  • Dance With Me
  • Girl, Interrupted
  • Surf’s Up
  • Black Hawk Down
  • Bye Bye Birdie
  • Men In Black
  • Something’s Gotta Give
  • Kermit’s Swamp Years
  • The Way We Were Restored
  • Ghostbusters
  • The Indian In The Cupboard
  • Riding In Cars With Boys
  • Center Stage
  • My Best Friend’s Wedding
  • The Sweetest Thing
  • Jerry McGuire
  • Ice Castles
  • Maid in Manhattan
  • Resident Evil 2
  • It Happened to Jane
  • Cruel Intentions
  • Murphy’s Romance

You can also earn 3% cash back and start your shopping through ShopAtHome or Ebates (3%).

Thanks, The Frugal Find and Mommy Octopus!

I found several that are still available online. Here is how you do it. Click on the Go to Target link above. Click on the see more genres on the left hand side. Once that pops up scroll down to price and click on that. Then click on the $0-$14 price point. Once that new screen comes up sort the movies by Price..low to high. The movies are marked with a $10 off 2 or more under the title. I found a few on the 2nd page like it could happen to you. Good luck!

UPDATE. I called the Target online helpline and was told first that the deal was only available online, THEN she put me on hold for quite a while and when she came back she did say that the deal should be available in-store as well, but ONLY on “regularly priced items” not on marked down ($5) items.

    Ah well.

I wonder if you can access this deal in-store. I’ve hunted around on the Target site a bit and haven’t found an answer. Do you know by any chance?

The titles I’m finding that you listed all say they are not available online.
