Family #5 is from Vancouver, Washington. They have 4 adults and 4 children in their household.
I had to take custody of my 3 grandkids. I am disabled with MS and my husband is out of work and has back issues and is trying to get SSI but was turned down. The only income we have is my step daughter that is working part time and my SSI. We are on the verge of having every utility turned off and our house is close to being foreclosed. Each month we have to rotate the bills and only pay what is on the verge of being shut off. We do get food stamps but by the end of the month we don’t have much food left.
We have never not been able to take care of our family especially on Christmas and it is breaking my heart. Last year was the first year and it was not as bad as this year because we had things left to sell last year. This year there is nothing left to sell.
This is a list of what they both need and gifts for the kids this year. If you select one of the identification numbers, you are committing to providing for all the “needs” and at least one “want” listed.
