I apologize for the lack of posts over the last two days. Rebecca just returned from family time with her husband and kids and my family went to Great Wolf Lodge on Sunday. I can still smell the chlorine.
I will try to whip out some store deals tonight, which is totally unexpected because my family’s supposed to be on an airplane right now. We were set and ready to go to North Carolina to visit my husband’s grandmother and go to the beach. On the way to the airport I decided to make sure our flight was on time. While I was on the phone with several people I figured out that our flight had changed (I didn’t read the update from the airline) and we had already missed it. My response? Tears and mild cursing.
While my husband, kids and our friend stayed in the car, I went to the Delta ticket counter and literally bawled my face off while the agent tried for over 30 minutes to get us on another flight. Can you imagine — a sobbing pregnant woman in the middle of the airport? Even without the tears I am a spectacle (I have a ginormous belly, no joke — I’ll post a picture soon).
After all the drama, the lovely ticket agent managed to get all five of us on the 6 am flight tomorrow, which buys me some time to blog! The really fun part is that we’re already in vacation mode, which means flushing money down the toilet — cash that we’ve saved up, of course.
Sit tight. The savings are coming!
