This week didn’t work out like I had planned as my family headed up to the Seattle area for the weekend and so I wasn’t able to use the $10/$50 coupon or the double coupons. So sad. When I did make it to Safeway, I made a blunder in choosing the wrong package of ground turkey. Apparently there is regular ground turkey and then there is ground turkey breast. It was just a little lesson to teach me to pay more attention to details.
The bulk of the cost here was the yeast, but I was out and in need. It was hard to only purchase this small amount of food, but in order to stay within budget I had to let some things go. It really is amazing how little food we really need and how much of what we buy is really just a distraction to fill our bored brains. I am looking forward to summer so we will be outside more and too busy playing to think about food.
Everyday Deals $2.00
Woohoo! I went in to purchase chocolate chips, they were out, but I did score my new favorite salad dressing for $.50 each. You can read more about Everyday Deals here.
Other Purchases: farm fresh eggs $6.00
There are so many great deals everywhere right now making it so hard to stop shopping, but stop I must. That is the nice thing about Safeway and Albertsons deals being Wednesday to Tuesday, I can still hit some when my food envelope is replenished.
