UPDATE: The giveaway is now closed.
Coleman recently contacted me about trying out some of their camping gear by having a “staycation” in our backyard. Our loot arrived the week between two “awaycations” so we had to throw up the tent quickly and get busy having fun!
My husband and the kids put the Coleman Sundome Tent up. It only took a few minutes.
The best part of the tent for my kids? The doggie door.
Or the baby door, depending on who you ask.
We received a number of other sweet items, including:
:: a Coleman 50-Quart Wheeled Cooler — perfect size to make yogurt in; I’ve seen these at Costco
:: a Coleman Willow Creek Warm-Weather Sleeping Bag — so plush (not roughing it here!)
:: Coleman 2-Gallon Party Stacker Jugs — can’t wait to try these out at the next big party
:: an extra high queen bed — also perfect for overnight guests
And the coolest item we received: the Coleman LED Quad Lantern. If you happen to find this lantern, you should really consider getting it (or putting it on your Christmas list):
It has two functions: it’s a battery operated lantern and a four-part flashlight. Each side detaches from the lantern and can be used on its own. Totally cool.
There are certain to be a few more warm days left in the year and I’m sure camping gear is on clearance at the stores.
And now for the giveaway! Coleman accidentally sent us extra items and we would like to give some of them away! But I’m putting a twist on it. I would like to give these items to a non-profit organization in the Portland Metro area who could use camping equipment. I am taking suggestions!
Leave a comment with a group you know of that could use some of these items and I will choose one! The non-profit must be located in the Portland Metro area (meaning I can drive there without packing a lunch). Yes, Salem is too far. I can do Vancouver, but don’t go much beyond that.
