I’m coming round to my five year “Strategic Couponing” anniversary — it was the winter of 2008 that I started paying attention to how much I was spending on food and household items. By employing several savings strategies over the course of several months, I was able to reduce our monthly food/household budget from around $450 to $265 (five people, two in diapers). That almost $200 in savings allowed us to meet other financial goals that we had prioritized and I felt like I had control over our budget, not the grocery store.
With the new year, I know many of you are looking to whip your family’s budget into shape and probably one of the best ways to save is by using coupons to lower your grocery budget.
Join me this week for a 30-minute web class as I share 3 ways to save money with coupons. You will walk away knowing the basics of couponing plus you’ll have the opportunity to snag a serious bargain on the Sunday Oregonian:
Participants in this free web class will be qualified to get up the Sunday Oregonian at a fantastic discount!
Thursday, January 3 at 2:00 pm — register for the Thursday class here
*Make sure you come a bit early — I’m doing a fun giveaway to those who show up before the actual teaching begins!
Registration is easy — just click your preferred class link above, fill in your name and email. We will email you the web class URL before the event begins (check your spam folder if the email doesn’t show up in your inbox immediately after registering). Please note that the webinar program I use does not work on iPods, iPads or iPhones. It should work on Android smart phones.
Important: This discounted subscription offer is exclusive to participants of a Frugal Living NW live event and is not offered directly through The Oregonian. It is available to those readers within The Oregonian home delivery areas of Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and parts of Columbia and Yamhill counties only. Everyone, regardless of location, is welcome to attend the class!

Has anyone in Scappoose been successful in getting this deal?
I’m pretty sure Scappoose qualifies as long as it’s “in town.”
I am in Scappoose and I have it
Yay! Can’t wait to start saving!
I’m in St Helens and have it
What about Philomath in Benton county? Could I get the paper delivery deal?!?!?
The deal is only available in the counties listed in the post.
I’m so excited!!! I can’t wait!!
Does this deal work for Vernonia?
Hi Angela,
How does this work if we already have some papers coming from your last webinars last year that are due to expire in the next upcoming months? Thanks for any insight! ~Ali
You can get additional papers as long as your total doesn’t exceed 5. The deal is the same as what was offered in the late summer and early fall.
Another question: If I attended the webinar and purchased two of the papers, can I attend again and get the other three?
Hint to everyone: Get 5 papers! Two is not enough…..
Love it! Yes, you can order additional papers up to 5 per household!
Im in Deschutes county.. Bend oregon Is there any kind of deals on the Oregonian here?
I would love to get a sweet deal on the OR or another good Q paper for southern Oregon. I have to buy the paper(s) at full price which is not great for multiple purchases.
I took the online classes how do i go beyond signing up for the Oregonian news paper and does it deliver to Salem. Some how the conference through the phone was hard to listen too.
The Oregonian does deliver to Salem, but this particular deal is not available in Marion county.
i live in Vancouver , Clark county will i be able to take advantage of this great deal?
not for us
although i do hope sometime in the future they may add clark county, the oregonian has way better coupons than the columbian.
I’m in Vancouver too and can’t wait for them to add us!
I’m in clark county, too, and have been waiting awhile for this deal to reach us! Is there someone we could contact directly who could make out work for us if enough of us showed interest?
Does this webinar work on a PC? (I have iPad and iPhone)
Yes! Works on all computers!
I was going over my expenses and wondered if we’re going to be able to renew this year with the same deal that we got last year. just wondering
Question – i’m in Seattle – I don’t need the paper, but I”m VERY interested in learning more! 2pm is a tight time for me to make it… are you going to be offering any other webinars? I don’t want to disrupt or miss out! Thanks for all your tips and tricks and knowledge, it is sooo appreciated!
I’ll be doing more webinars in the near future!
I just listened over the phone. It was a bit difficult to hear everything, cutting in & out. Where is the order form to fill out in the next hour?
Please email me and I’ll get you set up!
Will you be offering another online webinar any time soon? I wasn’t able to attend this one but would love a refresher for couponing and the newspaper deal. Thanks.
Where do we get the form for the oregonian? I attended the webinar on my phone, and didn’t see a link?
Will you be offering this webinar again? I was at work and couldn’t participate.
Could you offer it on a weekend or late evening?
Here’s the next class everyone!

I registered for the class, but then “life” happened and wasn’t able to log on for it…Are you going to be offering this class again sometime soon?
Help!! Need your class & Oregonian discounted. Any idea when next class will be? Thanks!!
I also missed the class and would love the paper deal. I “ditto” what Mary B said: need your class & the Oregonian discount and would like to attend the next web class or class in the Portland area. Thanks!
another ditto…. need class & paper. sorry I missed it.
I just received the email 4 hours ago and I really would like to have attended the web class. Is there any way possible I could be sent a link of a recorded video of the class I would really appreciate it so much.
Thanks
No call tonight? Pretty sure I filled out the form to be called tonight
Sorry, I replied too soon, I did get my call last night! Thanks!
Dang! I missed out on the class. Just got online at 9pm. Are you going to offer it again? Please let me know. Thanks. Melissa
Darn it all! I wanted badly to attend this and I missed it. I have been trying to learn everything about couponing for the past 4 mos, since I had baby #3! Is there any way to get an email prior to the next class as a heads up? I didn’t know you did the class until tonight
Take care, Maggie
I’d love to get info on the next Webinar. I’m not in your area, but I’d like to learn your tips on saving money, using coupons, to save for my family of 5. Thank you!
Missed the webinar, are you planning another?
Does Anyone know how early on Saturday the Sunday Oregonian gets put in stores? I live in Vancouver so I run over to Portland on Saturdays and pick up my Sunday Oregonians but am wondering how early I can head over there this weekend.. I’m excited for the inserts this week!
Another ditto! I just found this post and would have loved to been in the class and the Oregonian deal. Please say you’re going to have another class soon! Thanks!
There will be another class soon. Angela has it in the works.
I took the class and didn’t receive my papers today. Was it supposed to be this week or next? My cc hasn’t been charged either.
Can you please let me know when the next class will be?
