Rite Aid: The Game (Video Values)

Rite Aid has a number of ways you can save: +UP Rewards, Load2Card coupons, and Video Values. (The Single Check Rebate program was discontinued last month – bummer!) This week I decided to work on my Video Values so I am not scrambling on the last day they are available to watch.

Here are some ground rules for Video Values:
1. Each month, Rite Aid has 25-30 videos you watch online to earn coupons.
2. These videos are only available to watch for approximately one month. You may watch the videos until 12pm EST on the last day available to watch them.
3. The coupons are valid to use at Rite Aid from the time you watch them until the end of the following month.
4. RiteAid.com will store your coupons in your account until you either print them or they expire.
5. You can print and use each coupon one time. The coupon becomes invalid once it is scanned at the register.

To watch the videos, you must register your wellness+ card you receive in the store or request online. The wellness + card keeps track of your +UP Reward deals and your wellness+ points. Registering only requires your email address, a password and wellness+ card number.

Once you have registered, log in and start watching. These videos are anywhere from fifteen seconds to two minutes, with the majority of them around thirty seconds.

Here’s the deal. Each video requires you to watch it and upon its completion, gives you thirty seconds (with a countdown clock for your convenience) to type in a six letter code and press enter. If you do not manage to type in this code before the clock hits zero, you do not earn the coupon and must watch the awesome video again to retry your skills at typing 101.

Now the other kicker is, you may not open any other tab on your computer while “watching” the video or the video pauses, waiting oh so patiently for you to return to resume watching. Seriously!

With that being said, in the two plus years I have been watching Video Values, I have found nothing inappropriate for small children to see. And that is why my seven year old was super excited when I told him I needed to take care of my Video Values for the month of February. Because he needs to work on his typing 101 skills while earning a bit of spending money and I need some coupons. It’s a win-win situation.

*I pay him $3 to watch all the videos with the sound OFF. It takes him about 30 minutes to watch them all.

Once you have jumped through all these hoops, you will have 25-30 coupons valid only at Rite Aid that you can stack with manufacture coupons. You can only print them once and use them one time.  I only print the coupons I am using for a deal to save paper and ink. Rite Aid does accept these coupons in black and white ink. These coupons will be saved and available to print online until their expiration date.

Now that I am done with my Video Values for the month, I can hunt for some great deals and here is what I scored this week, using my $10 +UP Reward from last week:
