Have you been following my family’s journey to spend $520 at Albertsons in five days? Catch up on the first four posts here, here, here and here.
We are on day four of our mission to use (26) $20 Catalinas at Albertsons in five days. We had a rather relaxing day and only did two transactions. I did one while I was running kid-less errands.
I finally got some coupons and was able to try out the General Mills FREE Milk promotion (Buy 4 participating GM cereals, Get Catalina for FREE milk — up to $4.50). I wanted to see if multiple cats would print when I purchased 8 boxes. Great news! They did!
I also wanted to see if the Dole Iceburg Salad bag would be free if I purchased the Whole Wheat Tortillas. Bad news. It didn’t. If you want to get the free Dole Iceburg Salad when you buy 2 Mission Tortillas, make sure you get the regular kind.
$0 after coupons & Catalina plus two FREE milk Catalinas
I have big plans for those FREE Milk Catalinas — I’m going to test out this deal on Sunday when we get doubles:
Buy 1 Oreo Cookies = $1.99
Buy 1 gallon of milk = up to $4.50
Use “$1 off Oreos when you buy milk” tearpad coupon* (-$1)
Use Albertsons double (-$.99)
FREE after coupon, double & Catalina
I think the Oreo coupon will attach to the cookies and the milk Catalina will just take the price of the milk off. It could totally blow up in my face. We’ll see.
*I found this tearpad coupon on a display of Oreos near the refrigerated section.
My husband did one transaction this afternoon. Actually, he took a friend out to lunch. He was so jacked to use the $20 Catalina, it was all he could talk about the entire week. I have no idea how two men ate this much food, but having seen no leftovers I’m assuming it’s gone.
$.35 after Catalina
Since we slacked off so much today, we have to bring our A game tomorrow. Six more transactions in just under 27 hours. And no babysitting. It’s going to be a rough day…
