Oh, my. This is the week to buy multiple papers. There will be five inserts in Sunday’s paper: 2 SmartSource, 2 Red Plum and 1 General Mills. I am planning to pick up at least 5 papers as many of the coupons will yield deals until the end of the year and I will be in the Puget Sound area on Monday so I can pick up some extras for just $1 at the Dollar Tree!
In addition, there will be 3 Albertsons doubles in the paper. Just imagine the savings…
Also, the Oregonian is finally offering a fairly good delivery deal right now: Choose either 7-day delivery or the new weekend package (Friday-Sunday, Holidays & Tuesday’s Food Day) for just $1.99 a week.
Essentially, you are getting weekly or weekend delivery for the price of just the Sunday paper. Not bad.
Here’s the fine print: only available to residents of Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and parts of Marion, Columbia and Yamhill counties (sorry, Clark Co., no love here) who have not subscribed to home delivery in the past 90 days. The $1.99/week price is for 12 weeks. After the “introductory period” you will be charged regular prices, so be sure to cancel before you are billed again. The offer expires November 15.
EDIT: Christina received more information from the Oregonian: you have to commit to purchasing an additional 8 weeks at $3/week to get this deal. Pretty sneaky.
