Amazon has a TON of popular magazine subscriptions for $5 right now!
These are all one-year subs and set on auto-renew which I normally HATE but Amazon makes it crazy easy to cancel it. I just mark my calendar for 11 months from the time I subscribe and then go into my Amazon account to cancel. It takes about 30 seconds per sub.
Magazine subscriptions are an awesome Christmas gift. Just buy the December issue in the store, wrap it up with a note explaining they can expect an issue every month , and put it under the tree!
