Amazon: Organic Coconut Sugar only $2.94 per bag shipped! ($.18 per oz)

I’ve been exploring less processed alternatives to white & brown sugar. One sweetener that I keep seeing is Coconut Sugar. Amazon has Madhava Organic Blonde Coconut Sugar, 16-Ounce (Pack of 6) for $2.94 per 16 oz bag. This seems like a pretty sweet deal. Does anyone use Coconut sugar? Can you use it 1 to 1 in baking?

:: Add the Madhava Organic Blonde Coconut Sugar, 16-Ounce (Pack of 6) to your cart by clicking the “Subscribe Now” button instead of the “Add to Cart” button. You will receive 15% off plus FREE shipping with “Subscribe & Save.” I always choose the 6 month option:

:: Once you’ve enrolled in the Subscribe & Save program, you will receive automatic shipments of that product from Amazon at intervals you set. You are under no obligation to continue your subscription once your initial order ships and you can easily cancel through the “Manage” option in “Your Account.”

You will pay $17.65 total for 6 bags of organic coconut sugar, which is $2.94 per bag shipped!

As with all Amazon deals, the price could change without notice. Prices and availability are accurate as of the date and time the deal was posted.  The price and availability information displayed on Amazon.com at the time of purchase is applicable to the purchase of this product.

You could pay even less if you use a $5 Amazon gift card you’ve earned by using Swagbucks as your search engine!

Thanks, Saving Naturally!

Emma,Maybe, I should be more speifcic about the coconut milk. It can be quite heavy for me, too. I’m experimenting with So Delicious Coconut Milk, which is not canned and it’s packaged like a milk carton. It’s sold in the refrigerator section, near the soy milk. It’s a fairly new product. The coconut flavor is slightly noticable. Thanks, for commenting!sw

I’ve been using coconut sugar for awhile. I got mine at Wilderness Family Naturals. You can use it the same, I use less because I don’t have a big sweet tooth. It doesn’t seem to bother my blood sugar.

I hadn’t heard about coconut sugar, but I am a big fan of coconut oil, so I did a little research. Check this link http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/coconut_palm_sugar.htm
Tropical Traditions is a company I trust, so I think I will stay away from the coconut sugar until I hear otherwise.

I use coconut sugar and yes you use it 1 to 1 in baking. Your food isn’t as sweet as it is when using regular sugar, but it’s still great. We don’t use any sugar in our household, so coconut sugar is a wonderful alternative.
