As the mothers of young children, all four Frugal Living NW writers love a good diaper deal. But there’s quite a bit of work that goes along with them: prepping for the deal at home, strapping the kids in the car and doing multiple transactions while managing multiple people running here and there. This is why we all super puffy heart a good, online diaper deal. No traveling and no lasso-ing skills needed.
Want to know what’s even better than an online diaper deal? Diapers purchased by someone else. Seriously, any diapering mama would love a gift of diapers and wipes. I know, not super flashy, but nothing says, “I love you” like “I’m going to help you with the poop.” Add a night of babysitting, and you’ll get the award this Christmas!
Important Side Note: If you’re a husband of a diapering mother, you are not allowed to buy diapers as a Christmas gift. That stinks. You must give your wife something legit. Diapers are not legit and you will get hosed if you try this.
Here’s a list of our very favorite diaper and wipes deals:
Costco — Okay, Costco doesn’t really qualify as a “deal,” but it is my go-to place when I run out of diapers. You’re not getting ripped off by shopping Costco for diapers.
Amazon — Boy, do we love Amazon’s deals right now. Here’s how to get the very best deal on diapers:
:: Get your hands on the December issue of Parents or Early Parenting magazine. There should be a postcard-sized coupon for 20% off your Amazon diapers purchase. The coupon looks like this:
I have spotted both magazines at Fred Meyer and Borders.
:: Sign-up for a FREE two-month trial of Amazon Mom. You will get FREE prime shipping plus 30% off select baby products when you use the Subscribe & Save option. Amazon Mom is open to caregivers as well as parents.
:: Add the diapers to your shopping cart by clicking the “Subscribe & Save” option on the right hand side of the screen to get 30% off your order (not the “Add to Cart” button). I always select the “Delivery every 6 months” option so I have tons of time to remember to cancel. Then click “Subscribe Now.”
:: Add the 20% off coupon code to your order during checkout.
:: After your order has shipped, log into your Amazon account, click “Manage Subscribe & Save Options” and cancel the Subscribe & Save from your account if you don’t want future shipments.
The funky thing about Amazon’s diaper prices is they fluctuate all the time. Just head to the list of diaper deals available with your Amazon Mom trial and figure out what works the best for you. You’re best bet right now is the Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers. Make sure whatever option you choose has the “Subscribe & Save” option on the right hand side of the screen.
Now, on to the wipes. Amazon is still rockin’ the wipes prices right now. You can get select Huggies wipes for just $10.15 shipped. Your box will arrive looking like this:
And the contents look like this (3 year-old with the crazy eye is an additional charge — and just for the record, he chose this outfit):
Ready for the details? Go here for everything you need to know to get 3 packages of wipes for $10.15. Again, Amazon prices fluctuate throughout the day. There are three Huggies options listed in the post and one or more may not work at any given time. Only order the type that is priced at $14.50 at the time you are ordering. Frustrating, I know. Take it up with Amazon.
Now it’s your turn: How do you get great prices on diapers and wipes? Would you like it if someone gave you diapers and wipes as a Christmas gift?
