I just made my Freddy’s run, and two things:
1. There is a deal on Horizon Mac & Cheese (classic varieties only – which thankfully includes my White Cheddar Shells & Cheese) for .88. Buy 2, and pair with the .75/2 coupon in the 9/28 SS. Works out to .50 a box!
2. As my cashier scanned the Suave Professionals coupon, he mentioned that Freddies gets reimbursed for the full value of the coupon. I said that I’d heard that some cashiers refuse to use the coupons if the value is higher than the cost of the item, and he basically said that some cashiers resent people getting items free – but that it’s Freddies policy to just adjust the value of the coupon down (especially since they get the full value back from the manufacturer!).
Howard says
Thanks. After getting my Suave purchase zonked by the cashier on Monday, and after talking to a knowledgeable FM customer service counter rep at a different store Tuesday, I just got around to reading their online policy. Although there is one line that allows the store mgr to accept/decline/limit any cpn upon view, a subsequent line reads:
If the coupon amount exceeds the final cost of an item (whether it’s the current price of the item or after discounts or other coupons are applied), the coupon amount may be adjusted to match that cost.
Howard says
Also on Tuesday, I took another flnw reader’s advice and took my business to WalMart, which gave me a price match (88 cts) and 62 cts overage on each cpn.

First I would like to say thanks for all the money all of you have saved me. I was at freddy’s today the open stock cookware is 30% off. I used the 2 coupons in Sundays Fred Meyers ad to take an additional 30% off. I got a 59.99 cast griddle for 32 dollars and some change. I am going to try for the lodge dutch oven tomorrow they are on sale for 69.99 not sure if they are included in open stock cookware sale.
Kate from Frugal Living NW says
You’re welcome! 🙂
Let us know how the Lodge dutch oven deal comes out. We always love that deal and I use mine every day.
Christy says
There was a $1/1 All coupon in the 9/28 RP, so $1.50 with the in-ad coupon. And I had two load to card coupons for All…$2/2 and $1/1 that can be used 5 times in one transaction (but the limit on the ad coupon is 2).
Renee says
There is also a $2 of 2 All coupon available to print.

at my freddy’s suave professional on sale for .88 and naturals are 1.50. i’ve tried getting an overage on coupons b4 and always get the beep and a sorry…
Kate from Frugal Living NW says
Yes, they do beep. The cashier has to override them.
Howard says
My cashier today would not price mod the cpn, so I left w/o them.
Howard says
The 9-7 SS cpn on Progresso was $.50 on two, not one, at least in my Oregonian. Same cpn in today’s circular if you need more.
superjaz says
Mine too, going to Albertsons for free candy too.
Kate from Frugal Living NW says
Let me in on the free candy scoop, please. 🙂
superjaz says
It’s listed on the site already. At Albertsons buy 5 cans of Progresso soup (on sale for $1ea) and get a free bag of candy(with coupon limit 1). Specifying that the coupon is just to get the free candy, not for the soup sake price, so Friday I did this
6 cans of soup, -3(.50 off 2 coupons) and a bag of candy, came out to 4.50 then I submitted for the Groupon snap got an extra buck back.
Howard says
Super idea you had, Jaz! I didn’t read your comment till after I’d bought my 6 at FM yesterday for $4.44 after cpns. Also got some Campbell’s Homestyle soups for $.75 each at Safeway by using some $.50/2 cpns I recently snagged in Florida and a doubler.
Howard says
Actually the Homestyles were $.50 each because I had a J4U deal for $1 off $5 of any soup.
PJ says
The display I saw just had the 12 oz bags of all 5 different flavors. I was surprised to see them still on sale, and when the coupon reset I couldn’t resist…..
PJ says
It looks like the Seattles Best coffee coupon has reset on coupons.com since I had printed these off a couple of weeks ago and then was able to print again last night – Freddy’s had them today for 4.99, so I was able to buy more today at 2.99.
Shannon says
PJ – do you know if it is just the regular bags of coffee that are included in the $4.99 price or are the k cups included as well?
PJ says
see above….
Shannon says
Thanks!
Kate from Frugal Living NW says
If you happen to go again will you let me know if they are on sale this week.
Kimberley says
They are actually in the monthly coupon book/ad so they should be on sale for a couple more weeks.
