Naturally, the zucchini plants are doing well, though some black little bugs have invaded and seem to be killing all the new flowers. Not good. I was told to spray them with some soap and water so I hope that works. Any other advice?
My green beans are flowering like crazy and hopefully will be producing soon. Those are my raspberries behind and they have been keeping my 3 year old happy. Everyday he runs back to the garden and devours any berry with even a slight pink color to it. I manage to snag a small handful as well.
The tomato plants are doing really well, thanks to my little helper. There are some really large, nice looking fruit on the vines, now I am just waiting for them to start turning red. This year I think I will actually harvest tomatoes, as last year they developed an ugly rotten spot at the top. I have been extra careful to water at the roots this year instead of over the top of the plant. It seems to be working.
My carrots, unlike the zucchini, are not doing very well. Mostly due to my “little helper” who likes to dig in my garden beds. I have replanted twice now and am just about ready to give up on the little guys.
I have replanted this as well and now I have two seeds that made it, and yet again, the other 100 did not.
I’m baffled, to say the least.
How are all of your gardens growing?
