I just received this email from our reader, Jerri, about her Oregonian subscription:
Do you, any other readers, realize that when the 24 weeks ends the Oregonian will automatically end the special rate ($20 for 24 weeks) and it reverts to whatever the current rate for the weekend subscription is (CS just told me that is $1.50 a week), without notifying the customer (and, you won’t even get a bill for your new rates for a couple of weeks after your old rate has expired!).I had called just now to Customer Service because I was unsure when my 24 weeks ended. Well, it ended Dec. 2nd apparently. So, I cancelled my subscription so that I would not be paying $1.50 per week per set of weekend papers I am currently getting. I asked her if the weekend rate of $20/24 weeks is still available and she emphatically said “NO!”, that you cannot do back to back special offers. How disappointing.I am guessing that I must not be the only couponer who signed up for this offer that has had their 24 weeks expire, so do you know of how to get this or a similar good deal for multiple Sunday Oregonians?
