My camera battery died!
For my first trip to Albertsons to take part in the “Buy $30, Receive $15” deal I wanted to spend as little out of pocket as possible and then on subsequent trips I would buy the things I really wanted. I matched up as many high dollar coupons with the lowest priced items as I could and went from there.
Here’s what I bought:
(2) Ragu pasta sauce used $1/2
(2) BC Warm Delights used (2) $.50/1
(4) Suave Kids Shampoo used (2) $1/2
(1) Chex Mix Sweet & Salty used $.50/1 IP
(1) Kix cereal used $.75 IP
(4) Honey Nut Cheerios used (2) $1/2 IP’s
(2) Vaseline Lotion used (2) $1.25/1
Total before coupons $30.02 (What’s up with the $.02?)
– $9.75 in MC’s
– $5 Albertsons doubles
Then: I used a $2 catalina from a survey from a past receipt and a $4 catalina from last weeks Dreyers Dibs deal bringing my OOP total to:
Here’s the bummer part, my catalina did not print. I did go to customer service where everyone had a different opinion on whether or not the deal was before coupons or after. Finally someone said it should print after coupons so they wrote me a rain check for $15. Phew!!!
Now is when it gets good for me as I have 2 more scenarios worked out which will bring my total balance to $15 even leaving me with zero OOP!
If you have been following the comments on the original Albertsons deal then you have seen that everyone has been having completely different experiences with the catalina printing or not. If yours does not print, don’t walk out. Simply walk over to customer service and show them your receipt and explain you were doing the “Buy $30, get $15” deal and they should help. If they say the $30 is after coupons politely ask for a manager as you know of other stores where it is working before coupons. The most important part of this is to BE NICE, and patient, and polite…
If they still won’t budge then either return everything and get your coupons back or call the catalina company and wait for your catalina to come in the mail.
