Back again with another week of menu planning. With husband out of town it is so much easier to make quick and easy one dish meals like spaghetti and mac n cheese, but I really need to get our veggies in which means I need to meal plan. Plus, I can’t handle spaghetti or mac n cheese for more than a week.
Saturday – Family birthday brunch – Blueberry French Toast Bake (DCC Cookbook), Monkey Bread, quiche, and some finger foods plus a train cake:)
and for dinner: Pad Thai from Trader Joes
Sunday – Sirloin Roast with potatoes, salad
I will be posting my grocery deals next to show what I buy with my $40 food budget, but I thought I would point out what things I already have on hand for this menu.
All the meat is from the freezer.
Apples, Garbonzo beans, feta, cheddar cheese, broccoli (frozen), Progresso broth, pasta, potatoes, blueberries(frozen), cream cheese, frozen dinner rolls, eggs plus most staples like butter and flour. Most of these foods I was able to get either free, almost free or at a very low price.
