The past two weeks have been CRAZY at Rite Aid, with tons of freebies and enough +UP Rewards and Single Check Rebate offers to make your head spin. I know it can be a little overwhelming to look at the full list of match ups and attempt to figure out the best plan of attack and learn how to minimize your out of pocket cost without doing 27 transactions and driving the cashiers out of their mind.
I hope it helps when I share my shopping trips and scenarios with you, the idea behind it is to give you a little inspiration and a starting-off point to plan your own shopping trips. I know we don’t always need exactly the same things, but hopefully it helps to see a basic layout.
If I’m purchasing several +UP Reward items, I try to do a minimum of 3 transactions to lower my out of pocket. The first two are generally +UP Reward items and then the third is (hopefully) any Single Check Rebate offers there may be that week. This allows me to “cash in” my +UP Rewards from the previous transactions.

After all is said and done, I spent about $15 on TONS of practical items. This purchase rounded out my candy supply for trick-or-treaters, my medicine cabinet is now stocked full of all-natural cold and cough products for the coming winter months and I even picked up a few items to donate. $15 is about the price of JUST the box of Luvs diapers, so I’m pretty thrilled with my trip.
One thing to note on the Cover Girl scenario: I could have lowered my out of pocket even more, but I only had three of the $8/2 coupons and I felt like buying the toilet paper was more useful for our household right now.
I can’t wait to hear how you did this week, I am having so much fun shopping at Rite Aid lately!
