Did you see the $10/$50 Safeway coupon that came in today’s Food Day paper? It will also be in the midweek Oregonian paper. Brittany was able to score all of this for just $12.12 and received two $2 Catalinas at checkout making all of this only $8.12! (I do recognize that this isn’t the most healthy shopping trip. I promise this isn’t all that we eat). Some of these were Just4U personal prices.
- Many of these deals are in this week’s Safeway post.
- Find the Best Food’s Mayo Catalina deal here.
- Here is info on the Glade Catalina and find a new $2/1 Glade coupon here!
- Remember that dairy is not counted toward the $50 threshold but I had a $1.50/1 O Organics Catalina coupon and a 10% off Just4U that made it only about $3.50.
Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to 50¢ each. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:
Safeway stores are inconsistent from store to store with their double coupon policy. The following is taken directly from Safeway’s Just4U coupon policy on their website:
Check with your local store regarding “double coupon” promotions where customers will receive double the manufacturer coupon face value off the regular or club card price up to the identified limit. Not all locations offer double coupon promotions and the terms of such promotions may differ by time and store. Limitations and restrictions for double coupon promotions may change at any time. Changes will be posted in store only. “Double coupon” promotions do not apply to any internet or digital coupons except for applicable internet printed manufacturer coupons. These explanations and restrictions on “double coupons” apply to any promotion that increases the value of a manufacturer coupon beyond its face value.

Anyone else being told of new coupon rules at Safeway? I went today to get L’oreal shampoo and conditioner and was told they had to rung up in different transactions (not what I wanted because of $10/$50 and catalina for L’oreal that is printing if you bought multiples) if I wanted to use 2 coupons because the coupons state one per purchase. This was a regular checker I have been to before and she said it was a huge memo from corp. Safeway that if the coupon did not specify a limit then when it said one per purchase of items that meant they could only take one per transaction… 🙁 Not sure what to make of it.

Will the full price (before the discount) of the Buy 2 or more/Save $6.00 at checkout count towards the $50 threshold for $10 off or will only the portion after the $6.00 is deducted apply?

I’m super new to couponing at Safeway. If you can only double 4 coupons per transaction how can you do this? Wouldn’t you need to double every coupon and that would be more then the limit of 4 doubled coupons? Thanks!!

I didn’t double every coupon in this case. I instead used the $10/$50 Safeway coupon that came in today’s Oregonian.

So which 4 coupons did you double to get this for $12.12?
Brittany from Frugal Living NW says
I had a personalized price of $2.74! Lucky day!
