Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to 50¢ each. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:
Safeway stores are inconsistent from store to store with their double coupon policy. The following is taken directly from Safeway’s Just4U coupon policy on their website:
Check with your local store regarding “double coupon” promotions where customers will receive double the manufacturer coupon face value off the regular or club card price up to the identified limit. Not all locations offer double coupon promotions and the terms of such promotions may differ by time and store. Limitations and restrictions for double coupon promotions may change at any time. Changes will be posted in store only. “Double coupon” promotions do not apply to any internet or digital coupons except for applicable internet printed manufacturer coupons. These explanations and restrictions on “double coupons” apply to any promotion that increases the value of a manufacturer coupon beyond its face value.

Arm & hammer liquid laundry soap is on sale for 2/$6. There is a $2/2 coupon on the card as well as one in the paper. Now, we all know the debateon whether paper and loaded coupons will work together . I might try it tonight on the way home. The card loaded one doesn’t have all the mnfc detailsat the bottom so I hope it will work.
Any chance anyone else had tried this yet?
If it works, it would be 2 bottles, $6-$2-$2-double50¢. Final price $1.50 for 2. Nice
cheryl says
Nope, these coupons couldn’t be combined. It was worth a try, except the dirty look the cashier gave me. But he is always a anti coupon guy. I tried to go to a register he wasn’t at, but he came over and sent her on break. Yikes. Too badwould have be sweet deal
PJ says
That sounds like the Walnut Grove store – its loaded with anti-coupon clerks. I even came across one cashier who was a couponer who told me to never coupon there due to that. I can handle them not taking a coupon but the nastiness is uncalled for.
cheryl says
Walnut grove? Was it Willy, Nellie our Mrs Olson?

I found the Reynolds m/c in the Red Plum for 1/4, I didn’t see any in the SS.
PJ says
Went to Safeway and compared the Reynolds coupon. None of the ones on sale are for the coupon. bummer.
Alyssa says
The Cheerios store coupon for B2G1 is actually on the bigger boxes. I think like 18 oz.
Doaa says
I’m not getting the cookies/milk deal. Please explain
Courtney says
I’m right there with you Doaa, I tried doing it a few different ways and it don’t add up lol

Looks like the math on that one got away. The out of pocket total of $5.22 is if you buy three and use coupons for six. Oops. 🙂 The total oop should be $14.19 with $0.75 ibotta for a total of $13.44 or $1.68 each. At least that is what I got.
JHollyhock (aka Jennifer H.) says
Nevermind. I missed superjaz’s comment. So it looks like the deal is buy 3 use (1)$0.75/2 coupon and $0.75 ibotta. $8.22 oop and $7.47 total or $1.87 each…
superjaz says
Heads up on the cookie deal, the Nabisco coupon is DND, and limit to one free gallon of milk.
