Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to $.50 each. You may not double a coupon marked with “Do Not Double” or an internet printable coupon. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:

Just looked again to see if I got the $2 coffee at Starbucks. But I still didn’t. I did notice 2 freebies though. A free Rana spaghetti sauce that will go well with the free pasta I got from them that’s been sitting in my freezer and a bfast protein shake.
Can anywhere tell me where to look for the Doubles? I know they are in the Safeway ad, but are they in the in-store ad or do they come in the Sunday paper? I have been keeping my eyes out for them but I am not having any luck. Thanks! 🙂
Check out Customer Service Desk! I notice there are some as you enter most stores.
Thank you! 🙂
At some stores, the circulars are in a bin near the entrance, or sometimes you can find a circular (with the Doubler inside) at a checkout stand.
Good trip to Safeway this morning. For $7.54 after all cpns and discounts, got two 2-liter TEN sodas; 20-lb box of A&H litter;1 bag Fresh Express Caesar salad; 2 bags Chex Mix; 1 Not Butter Deliciously Yours 12-oz; 2.92 lb bananas; 1.11 lb carrots.
Howard- you’re bed is safe now I take it.
🙂
The cat promised to use it for sleep only.
So Howard did your j4u 7up 2 liter say that it included the 7up ten? My j4u says 7up 2liter for $.75 and my coupon says $.75 off 7upTen
When I got to the store, the shelf tags on the 7UP TEN and A&W TEN both said $.75 with J4U deal. Both scanned at $.75 and I used the cpns (I had 2) to make both free. Didn’t see the other TEN flavors there, but a reader reported Sunkist TEN also works. I suppose Canada Dry TEN should be OK too, prob not Dr Pep TEN.
Hurry, sale ends Tuesday.
Thanks Howard, I always go on either Monday or Tuesday that way I can look for the deals with mfr coupons from Sunday 🙂
All I know is that Sherwood Safeway & Albertson’s better watch themselves with their customer service…..when WalMart comes to Sherwood, the are going to be hurtin’ for certain!
The peets coupon is a DND – bummer. Still gonna pick some up for hubby.
A woman at the store shows a very expensive, imported bag of coffee to a fellow shopper and says,”I got this for my husband.”
“Good trade,” says the other shopper.
LOL
Has anyone checked to see if the TEN 7UPs are included in the sale this week at safeway?
Yup, I got a 7UP TEN and an A&W TEN for free (no doubling on those cpns). Not sure if the other TENs are included, but should work.
Sunkist Ten are also included.
WARNING: the A&H litter cpn is a blasted DumbSource/Java cpn. I tried it today and it would not print. My cats are not amused and are threatening to turn my bed into a litter box. Although $5 for 20 lbs with no cpn is still a good price.
Mr witty strikes again…….
My J4U download for the soda simply read $.75, limit 4, so if the TEN 7UPs are included, then the paper cpn should combine with it and make it free. (Not a MM, as it’s a DND)
I think the weekly ad expires Jan 21, not Jan 24.
I don’t understand the Red Baron deal either. Definitely doesn’t come out to $1.24 each.
The 7UP TEN cpn is do not double–they hide that in all the fine print on the mfr cpn. Haven’t seen the J4U list yet, so I don’t know if the online cpn can be combined with the paper cpn. I got nailed at the Safeway register a few months ago by an alert cashier who saw the DND language on the soda cpn.
If the Red Baron pizzas are $3.33 and the cpn is $1/2, how do they come to $1.24 each? More like $2.83. I got 2 Freschettas for $2.50 each at Thriftway today, whoopee!
For the first time today I had a cashier refuse to double my coupons as she remembered that I had already been in this week & used my doubler (good memory as it was days ago)!! She has been a serious scrutinizer!! I was truly buying a few items for my single mom friend who works long hours & has little time & offered to use her card #, but the cashier was unmoving-so I had her put it all back 🙁
Do I remember reading a comment correctly that you shop at the esplanade in Hillsboro? Maybe it was someone else. Anyway – the Safeway there is terrible. I had a cashier refuse a coupon because it had the word “FREE” on it (it was buy one get one free).
You do have a good memory-this however was the Aloha one-in the morning-beware 🙂 I then went to the esplanade (even though they now don’t double more than one like coupon) & was treated very nicely 🙂 Mostly I like the cashiers at the Esplanade-some are very good (there are a few who are not very knowledgeable)-but they did start this new policy to only double one of like coupons (which I know other stores have too)-but so far Aloha hasn’t-but now I will be avoiding Aloha in general!
I had the same thing happen in Sherwood once. Needless to say, I try to avoid that cashier or send my husband.
Shelly at Sherwood will most likely never double and is usually not very coupon friendly, but the manager Boyd is awesome!
Time to visit Value Village and buy a few disguises. Or I can lend you my rainbow clown wig.
I always try to go to the younger guys that cashier. They are usually friendlier and less scrutinizing. It seems like the older the cashier, the more they don’t want you to save money. As if the money is coming out of their check if you save a buck or two!
Am I missing something on the Red Baron pizzas? The math doesn’t work.
Oops. Sometimes the copy/paste function + a distraction does that to me. I’ll fix that.
There’s supposed to be a $1/2 Red Baron cpn in 1-19 SS.
