Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to 50¢ each. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:
Safeway stores are inconsistent from store to store with their double coupon policy. The following is taken directly from Safeway’s Just4U coupon policy on their website:
Check with your local store regarding “double coupon” promotions where customers will receive double the manufacturer coupon face value off the regular or club card price up to the identified limit. Not all locations offer double coupon promotions and the terms of such promotions may differ by time and store. Limitations and restrictions for double coupon promotions may change at any time. Changes will be posted in store only. “Double coupon” promotions do not apply to any internet or digital coupons except for applicable internet printed manufacturer coupons. These explanations and restrictions on “double coupons” apply to any promotion that increases the value of a manufacturer coupon beyond its face value.

Did you see they have half gallon Lucerne milk for $1 on Friday (limit 5). Pretty good price, since Fred Meyer has been at $1.25 each lately.
Howard says
Hi, Cheryl. I’ve been paying 99 cts at FM for some time now for milk and OJ. It’s usually on special every 2 weeks or so. Just got some late last week. On Senior Day (monthly, sometimes more often), it often rings up at 89 cts.

You might enjoy this–today’s Safeway trip:
2 2-liter bottles 7UP TEN (I had a $1/2 printable)
1 box Jose Ole taquitos (I had a $2/1 printable)
2 boxes Cheese Nips (used $.75/2 cpn)
1 Fresh Express cole slaw kit
2 Pillsbury Grands large cans (used $1/2 printable)
Paid $4.84 after doubler and J4U 5% national brands discount
Howard says
Pillsbury Grands biscuits (the large 16.3 oz size) are $1 each in the ad. There’s a $1/2 cpn at coupons dot com site, also at the betty crocker site.
Cindy says
There doesn’t seem to be a real link to the .55 coupon for the 7-Up
Rena says
Is there a Safeway in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area that doubles internet printed coupons?
Jen says
I have good luck in Beaverton at Allen/Murray store. Since not working swing shift haven’t gone late evening after 9pm in a while. When I did the cashier that was working wouldn’t, but the rest have been fine. Then one of the new guys a few weeks ago gave me the $2 maximum off when I had 1 coupon for 50 cents off.
Howard says
The direct link is missing for the 7UP cpn. Also, I imagine two computers would be needed for one to print >2 7UP or cereal cpns.
Jennifer says
Hello,
I don’t see the direct link for the 7up?
Thanks,
Jennifer
