Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to 50¢ each. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:
Safeway stores are inconsistent from store to store with their double coupon policy. The following is taken directly from Safeway’s Just4U coupon policy on their website:

where does it say that we get the two free items if we buy the 10 yoplait?
Safeway also a Catalina that works great with the $10 off $50. Buy $30 worth of Huggies diapers and get $10 toward your next purchase! These diapers are on sale in store and there are two different $2 off coupons at coupons.com for a huge savings.
Free can of Progresso soup Friday. There’s a $.50/1 cpn at the betty crocker website today. Use with doubler tomorrow for free soup. Usually a limit of one print per person. Cpn expires in 2 weeks. These online cpns vanish quickly!
Safeway has the 16 mega rolls of Charmin for $14.. There is a P&G coupon $1 off/2. Also, if you spend $30 or more in P&G you get $5 off and a movie ticket.
Scenerio-
2 Charmin packs $14×2, -$1/2 and doubler ($0.50). Ibotta $1 (do the soft and strong each). Buy 2 boxes puffs $1 each, use 25 cent coupon.
$30-$5 off P&G, -$1, -50c doubler, -2 25c coupons and doublers (50c). $22.50 out of pocket. $2 ibotta and you also get a free movie ticket from fandango.
Think you could also use this total towards the $10 off $50 threshhold.
I just spotted a $1/2 Pillsbury refrigerated products cpn at coupons dot com. The $.50/1 cpn mentioned above may be NLA or limited to one print.
Sad. I guess they will no longer have the $10 off $50 coupon in the paper. I was told it would be coming in the red plum that comes in the mail. We don’t get anything like that around here… 🙁 We have six kids and we did a lot of our monthly shopping using those coupons.

I just remembered to ask: so last year sometime I went to Safeway, after Albertsons deal went down, and I was told that they now only let people get $10 deduction if total is $50 after coupons, is this true?
I read the newer coupons and it doesn’t state that fact on the coupon so I just held off on shopping there. I may have heard that from a cashier who didn’t know but I want feedback before I switch stores.
I make sure and give over the m/c after the $10 is deducted. I make sure and point out the the verbage on the coupon if they question it. I do know though, when I had the $10 downloaded on my app, the $ came off before the m/c with no problem.
