Safeway: Jell-O

I asked my husband to get a few pictures of items at Safeway for me so I’d know the prices. This is what I got. Seriously? The man is brilliant with a camera and I get blurry with no price. Oh well, turns out the price is online. Looks like I’m the doof for sending him on a scavenger hunt.

Jell-O Gelatin or Pudding on sale $1.50 (I think)
Use $1.25/3 coupon
Use $1/3 coupon from Safeway Thanksgiving ad
$.75 each after coupons

Make sure you check the current list of Catalina promotions before you plan your deals. See more Safeway deals here.

Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to $.50 each. You may not double a coupon marked with “Do Not Double” or an internet printable coupon. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:

The Albertsons jell-o deal is better. I purchased 16 boxes of jell-o for .18 cents a box.

    Transaction 1
    12 boxes of jell-0
    used 4 $1.25/3 coupons
Paid $4 out of pocket received 3 $1 cats

    Transaction 2
    4 boxes of jell-o
    used 3 $1 cats
Paid $0.00 and received another $1 cat

    $3/16 boxes of jell-o = .18 each

I know the holiday flavors (pumpkin spice & candy cane) on the baking setup were BOGO.

This $1.25 coupon is included with a few others as the back page of a little free recipe book handout. I got a few at Lucky’s grocery store the other day. The recipe booklets were in a cardboard display in one of the aisles. I wasn’t crazy about the recipes, so I just kept the coupons; otherwise, I’d give you the name of the booklet to look for.

I found these same coupon/recipe booklets at Fred Meyer tonight on a cardboard display by the baking aisle.
It says, “deliciously simple holiday recipes” on the front and the coupons are on the back page. It includes: jello (or other baking products)$1.25/3, Ziploc holiday containers $1.50/2, Ziploc holiday bags $1.00/2, and Dole canned fruits $1.00/3. The best part? The coupons don’t expire until 3/31/12!

I think it’s gone now. But it was gone for a while yesterday and came back so try again and you might get lucky.

Ha, ha. Exactly what my husband would have done. When I just had my first baby I sent him out for quiche and he photo-matched it and brought home pot pie. How clever was that.

I saw a promotion with the holiday foods display at Safeway yesterday for BOGOF Jello, regular $1.69. Sorry I didn’t read the details or sizes.
