My sister-in-law cracks up when Rebecca & I post our deals. I suppose that it is odd that we put pictures of our grocery purchases on the internet — are people really interested in this stuff?
I’m thinking that many of you are interested — some of you like the motivation and some like to know the possibilities when it comes to couponing.
Here’s my Safeway trip this morning and I think you’ll agree that I hit the jackpot:
2 Welch’s Grape Juice & 8 Mott’s Apple Juice = $7.97 after 3 coupons & doubles from my stash
Apples & Bananas = ? can’t find my receipt
Tons of Kraft Shredded Cheese (7 oz packs) = $.25 each ($2.50 – $2.25 worth of clearance stickers)
You wouldn’t believe the number of clearanced cheese packs my Safeway had in stock — and for my local peeps, I did not clear the store out. As of this morning, there were still tons left.
We use shredded cheese quite frequently so I may only freeze a few bags and I will probably give some bags to my mother-in-law for all the baby meals she’s cooking up for us.
If you’re new to clearance sticker trollin’ at Safeway, be sure to read my previous post to learn the ropes.
