Safeway: Today’s “Fan-tastic” Daily Deal {Sunday 2/6}

This is a stock up price on chips!  I’m not a big fan of canned salsa unless I’ve canned it myself, but I’d say this is a pretty good price on salsa as well.  It’s so sad this isn’t going all week!

Tostitos Tortilla Chips on sale $1.44 (limit 4)
Use $.55/1 coupon from 1/30 SS insert
Use Safeway Double (-$.50)
$.39 after coupon & double

Safeway SELECT Salsa on sale $1.44 (limit 4)
Use $.75/1 coupon from Safeway Football coupon book
$.69 after coupon

See the rest of this weeks Safeway deals here.

Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to $.50 each. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:

We are proud to be apart of The Grocery Gathering over at BeCentsAble, posting for Safeway in Oregon & SW Washington.

I went to albertsons and they had $1 off one coupons as a hang tag by the tositos chips. I grabbed (2)
    and doubled the coupons
I got 2 bags of chips for free and salsa for .69 cents!!!

I think the weekend ad has a coupon for tostitos that extends the deal for more than just Sunday. 🙂

I bought 4 salsas and used (4) .75/1 Joy of Football coupons. 1 worked as planned and I paid $1.44 for the other three. I called the store to ask and was told that, “the new coupons are having problems” and that they would have manually entered them if I had caught it at the regiter. Grr… the coupons have been out for a while now… plenty of time to fix the problem.

Same here. I called the customer service (1800) and they said the Just for you had a limit of one on the salsa coupon but in the weekly ad there is a limit of four. So the just for you ecoupon kicked out the joy of football coupon. I wasn’t able to catch the mistake at the register.

The .75 coupon for salsa didn’t work for me and the cashier wouldn’t let me use it.

Albany, OR Safeway told us today you can not combine the Soda 4/10.00 coupon with the manufacturer coupons. The manager told us that it was new policy and just come down from Corp. They did it on Sat. but today it was a no go. Anyone else heard this????

Nope…just did the soda deal twice on Sunday, at two different safeways and had no problem. At one the checker was so impressed, that he even said I needed to teach him how I did that…lol. This is in NE PDX. HTH.

My Safeway in Portland,Oregon will not allow using the double coupon with internet coupons or those marked “do not double”. More restrictions by Safeway.

Troutdale SW and Gresham SW on the corner of Burnside & Division still double IPs. Can’t do much about the DND although sometimes cashiers ignore the DND wording.

Wow, I didn’t even see the $10 requirement for the salsa coupon. Neither did my store, they even read it when it didn’t take anything off when scanned. The cashier checked with the manager and just manually took off each one. Paid $2.85 for 2 bags of chips and 3 jars of salsa.

Just wanted to mention that I’m stocked up on peanut butter for the next 9 months to a year, and it feels so good. Something I can truly scratch off my list for a loooong time.

The things that make me content make me go hmmmmm. 8)

At my Safeway in Raleigh Hills, there were many bags with $1/1 coupons taped on the bags as well as some bags had $1 off avocados with the purchase of two bags. I doubled the $1/1 coupon for 6 cent overage!

I was able to use 4 coupons at one time, however I totally didn’t read that it says right on it $10 min purchase too 🙂 But just got a couple additional things and it worked great!

Just a note…the salsa coupon requires a $10 purchase to use. I found this out the hard way this morning when I tried to just buy the chips and salsa!

Just a quick heads-up, I was only able to use 1 of the salsa coupons at my local Safeway. So while I could get 4 @ $1.44 each, they would only take the additional .75 off of one of them.

had same problem at my McMinnville, OR store. i was able to use one. they told me that it wasn’t for the 24 oz jar (even though the coupon doesn’t state a size, but the picture ont eh coupon was of a smaller jar).

i ended up returning the other three jar but they wouldn’t give me back the coupons. sad.
