I know it’s much more cost effective to make my own coffee at home, but I really love the Starbucks experience. Obviously, I don’t love the Starbucks price. Luckily for me (and you!) I’ve had three free or almost free encounters with Starbucks just this week.
First, I received four $10 Starbucks gift cards in the mail. For free. I “earned” them by using Swagbucks when I search the internet instead of Google and for referring friends and Frugal Living NW readers to do the same. Read more about how Swagbucks works here.
In addition to my $40 from Starbucks, I’ve also used my Swagbucks to get Amazon gift cards. I recently purchased four Chico reusable bags and a fun indoor sandbox for my big kids.

Second, I received a survey from my last Starbucks visit on my receipt. I simply filled out the short survey online and now have a free tall drink of my choice.
Third, I ran across this $1 off Starbucks Frappuccino coupon. These usually go on sale at Walgreens for around $1.25, making for an inexpensive coffee treat. Print your coupon off — IE or Firefox. You can print two coupons off per computer by using your browser’s back button. Thanks to It’s Hip To Save for the coupon links!
It truly is possible to enjoy more expensive treats on a tight budget!
