My, oh, my. We hit the jackpot today. The Davises went out on a family date this morning and hit Safeway, Albertsons & Rite Aid.
Buy 12 Whipps ($.89 each; Buy 3, Get 3 Free) = $5.34
Use (6) $1/2 coupons (-$6)
Use (4) Safeway doubles (-$2)–Safeways in Oregon & SW Washington double coupons.
FREE with $2.66 overage
This deal runs until Tuesday.
I used my overage from the Whipps to buy the Oregonian & 2 packages of Goldfish ($1 each).
Total OOP (out of pocket) = $.17
I also picked up my first free Starbucks Tea Latte and I did not enjoy it. You can check out Safeway’s deals here.
Second, Rite Aid.
I will receive a $4 Rite Aid Single Check rebate & a $10 Rite Aid gift card. See the details of this deal here.
Total after coupons, rebate & gift card = $3.96
Total OOP (out of pocket) = FREE!
For four of the transactions, the total was $0. The fifth was $5 and I used my last $5 catalina from last week’s P&G catalina deal.
We tried the 8 boxes of Quaker Chewy Bars for free, but the cashier at 181st & Glisan messed up the math and wouldn’t let it go through as planned. It has worked for three different people at this store multiple times, but not today.
You can check out this week’s Albertsons deals here.
I have decided that it is absolutely necessary to do any tricky/complicated Albertsons deals (usually those with competitor’s coupons) within the first day or two of the sale. Each time I wait until the weekend, the cashier stops the deal, even though it’s totally legitimate.
