My goal each week when shopping at Rite Aid is to only purchase items I know someone will use in my house. I seem to start with good intentions of being a great donor, but in the end my home becomes full of items we do not use and items I will someday donate. When I first started on this journey ten weeks ago, my second goal clearly stated and I repeat, “I refuse to purchase products we won’t use. At this point, I don’t even want to hassle with donating them (which is a wonderful thing to do; I simply need to keep my efforts focused on my game plan).” And then week eleven rolls around and I broke a rule. I purchased kitty litter. I do not have a Keep Reading
Rite Aid: The Game (Rolling your +UP Rewards)
The key to playing any grocery store or drug store game is rolling your rewards. Your initial out of pocket expense is higher until you can start accumulating rewards to roll. There are a number of reasons to roll your +UP Rewards at Rite Aid: The goal is always to spend the least amount out of pocket for the most items so rolling your +UP Rewards accomplishes this goal. +UP Rewards have a two week expiration date, giving you plenty of time to roll your rewards week to week. It is good to walk out of the store with the same amount or more in +UP Rewards than when you walked in. Why pay more when you can use +UP Reward rolling to your Keep Reading

Rite Aid: The Game (Tags on the shelves)
Rite Aid does an exceptional job of making sure their customers know what is on sale. Every item that is in the ad has a yellow tag on the shelf indicating the sale price and +UP Reward associated with the item. Each yellow tag holds a plethora of information that will help you be successful in your shopping trip. Each tag has the sale price, the +UP Reward printing when purchasing the item, the sale dates, the limits per household, and even the page number in the ad where you can find the item advertised. The tricky part is when an item qualifies for more than one deal. For example, if an item qualifies for a +UP Reward and is on sale for buy Keep Reading
Rite Aid: The Game (Rainchecks)
I am a huge fan of rainchecks. When I find a shelf empty, I get a raincheck. When I find the flavor of cereal on sale we want gone, I get a raincheck. It is a simple, easy way to purchase items on sale at a later date when stores are able to restock their shelves. When I went shopping this week at Rite Aid, I encountered empty shelves for two of the “hot” items in the ad this week. The Poise moneymaker and the free Nivea lip balm. When I went up to the cashier to request a raincheck, she actually had the items behind the counter and said she had even more in the back. This brings me to rule number one when you find an empty shelf – ask if Keep Reading
Rite Aid: The Game (Facebook coupons)
I seriously had no idea how many coupons were available to use at Rite Aid until I started digging. Between Video Values, Load2Card coupons, manufacture coupons, in-ad coupons, +UP Rewards and now Facebook coupons my options seem limitless on saving money at Rite Aid. Each week, Rite Aid comes out with anywhere from three to five coupons available on their Facebook page. Now I know some of you do not have Facebook, so just have your best friend or mom or neighbor (bring them some free shampoo now and then as a thank you) like Rite Aid on Facebook to access the coupons. When you get to Rite Aid’s Facebook page, click on “Exclusive Deals” at the Keep Reading
Rite Aid: The Game (Load2Card coupons)
Last week I talked about Video Values and so this week we will continue to discuss other coupons available through Rite Aid to lower your out of pocket expense. Another program set up by Rite Aid is called Load2Card coupons. These coupons are available throughout the month and new ones pop up often. To access the coupons, simply log in to your Rite Aid account with your login information and click on the coupons you would like to use. The great part about these coupons is you can still use your manufacture coupons AND your Video Value coupons. That’s like a triple stack baby! Once the coupons expire, they simply do not appear on your card or Keep Reading
